Alex Rodriguez has two daughters, Natasha and Ella, with his former partner, Cynthia Scurtis. In a June 2026 family podcast appearance, Rodriguez shared that Natasha was studying musical theater at the University of Michigan and that Ella planned to attend the University of North Carolina, where she was interested in sports management.
Who are Alex Rodriguez’s daughters?
Natasha and Ella are Rodriguez’s daughters with Cynthia Scurtis. Us Weekly reported that Rodriguez and Scurtis separated in 2008 and have continued to coparent their children. Rodriguez introduced both daughters on the June 18, 2026 episode of Alex and Jason’s Kids Join Us For a Father’s Day Special! on iHeart.
What are Natasha and Ella doing now?
Natasha, also known as Tashi
Natasha, whom her family calls Tashi, was born on November 18, 2004. Us Weekly reported that she enrolled at the University of Michigan in 2023 to study musical theater. In June 2026, Rodriguez described her as a rising senior and said she was doing musical theater in Wichita. Her year in school and activities are updates from that interview, not permanent details.
Ella
Ella was born in April 2008. In June 2026, Rodriguez said she had just graduated high school and planned to start at the University of North Carolina the following year as a freshman. He also described her as strongly interested in sports management. That was his account of her plans at the time; it does not independently confirm her subsequent enrollment.

Why Rodriguez says fatherhood matters to him
Rodriguez has connected his commitment to being a father with his own childhood. In a March 2025 interview, he recalled that his father left when he was 10 and said he had decided at age 11 or 12 that, if he had the opportunity to become a father, it would be his number-one priority. Telemundo reported his comments in Spanish.
He also said he sought his daughters’ approval before making his documentary. In a November 2025 report on his appearance on The View, Parade quoted Rodriguez saying he did not want to proceed without their “co-signing.” Parade reported that the daughters encouraged him to make it “raw” and “real.”
