That distinction matters: granting permission for an animated likeness is not the same as filming a live-action role, and neither by itself confirms involvement in a future production.
How Predator: Badlands fits in
Predator: Badlands is a separate franchise release, dated November 7, 2025, on the official 20th Century Studios page. The studio lists Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi as its stars, along with streaming and Blu-ray availability.
