Where did the $2.5 million figure come from?
On April 21, 2015, French Montana posted the caption “2.5!!! a gift from Allah!!! #bless ..” duPont REGISTRY reported six days later that the post led the outlet to believe the final price was around $2.5 million. That wording matters: it describes the publication’s inference, not a confirmed payment or a receipt. duPont REGISTRY’s April 27, 2015 report is the source for both the reported acquisition and the price interpretation.
The careful answer is that French Montana was reported to have acquired an Epitome, and a contemporary outlet inferred a roughly $2.5 million price from his caption. The reviewed reporting does not verify the transaction amount.
How does $2.5 million compare with the announced price?
Launch-era coverage in 2013 put the proposed price at about $2 million. The later $2.5 million figure is a reporter’s inference about a possible transaction, not a second confirmed price. These figures therefore differ in both status and source: one was a proposed launch price; the other was an unverified estimate reported in 2015.

AutomobilesReview’s August 19, 2013 launch report described the car and its proposed price. Neither figure, on the evidence available here, establishes what was ultimately paid.
What was the Laraki Epitome?
Laraki presented the Epitome as a concept at events around Monterey and Pebble Beach in 2013. Contemporary reporting described it as based on a Chevrolet Corvette C6, with carbon-fiber body panels and a 7.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8. It was presented as an exceptionally powerful, limited-run exotic rather than a conventional production model.

Launch-era performance claims
AutomobilesReview reported 1,200 horsepower on pump fuel and up to 1,750 horsepower when using a second fuel tank with 110-octane fuel. Those are figures reported at the time, tied to different fuel setups; the sources cited here do not document independent testing of them.
How many Epitomes were made?
Launch coverage said nine examples were planned, and duPont REGISTRY repeated that plan in 2015. A planned run is not proof that nine cars were completed. The sources cited here do not establish a final production count, a verified delivery record, French Montana’s current ownership, or the car’s current market value.

Is there a documentary about the car?
No car documentary is established by the sources cited here. Paramount announced The French Montana Story in October 2024 as a biography of the artist and his rise. It was scheduled to premiere November 19, 2024, in the United States and Canada, and November 20 in the United Kingdom and Australia. The announcement does not say that the Laraki Epitome is covered, and current viewing availability is not established here.
