Iron Resurrection follows a real custom shop, Martin Bros Customs, outside Austin, Texas. The series tracks how Joe Martin and his crew restore and customize vehicles, while Joe’s wife Amanda and friend Jayson “Shag” Arrington find potential projects and negotiate purchases. Official descriptions document that premise and the show’s history, but they do not establish whether new episodes are currently in production or available everywhere.
What is Iron Resurrection about?
Iron Resurrection is a reality series built around the work of Martin Bros Customs. Discovery Studios describes the show as a Velocity original centered on Joe Martin, Amanda Martin, Shag Arrington, and the shop team. In its episode premise, Amanda and Shag search for neglected vehicles, which the crew then brings back to life.
Warner Bros. Discovery’s production description adds another source of work: customers bring vehicles to the shop. The projects can involve customization, fabrication, mechanical repairs, and paint, rather than restoration alone. That means the show’s premise includes both vehicles the team finds and customer-owned builds.

Joe Martin is identified by the studio and network as the shop’s central builder and leader. Discovery Studios also notes that he won Discovery Channel’s Biker Build-Off. Official descriptions place him at the center of the team’s restoration and customization work.

The shop crew and Shorty Ponce

MotorTrend’s 2022 coverage connected Javier “Shorty” Ponce with work viewers had seen on Iron Resurrection and reported the premiere of his spin-off, Shorty’s Dream Shop. That establishes a connection to the series, not his current cast status.
