BGR reported that 41 titles were scheduled to arrive on Netflix on October 1, 2024. The list included films, a series season, a Netflix series, a comedy special and a reality-series batch—not 41 movies. It is a historical, US-oriented lineup, not a guide to what is streaming now or in every country.
Netflix’s reported October 1, 2024 lineup
Jacob Siegal’s BGR article, published September 30, 2024, counted 41 arrivals for the following day. That is BGR’s count, rather than an independently audited Netflix total.

How to browse the list by mood
- Horror: BGR singled out Psycho, You’re Next, It Chapter Two and Halloween (2018).
- Comedy: The list includes 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street, Bridesmaids and Brüno.
- Thriller series: Yellowjackets: Season 1 was the season entry in the roundup.
What the “41” count includes
The roundup’s headline groups films and other programming together. Alongside movies, it labels Making It in Marbella as a Netflix series, Tim Dillon: This Is Your Country as a Netflix comedy special, and Yellowjackets: Season 1 as a season entry. Wipeout: Batch 4 is listed as a batch, so “41 movies” would not accurately describe the whole lineup.
Was every title available everywhere—or is it still on Netflix?
No. The announcement describes titles scheduled for October 1, 2024 in a US-oriented roundup; it does not confirm arrival in every country. Nor does it establish present-day availability. Netflix catalogs can vary by market and change over time, so check the Netflix catalog for your region if you are looking for a title now.
