Michael Strahan’s twin daughters are Isabella and Sophia Strahan. In 2023, Isabella was diagnosed with medulloblastoma while attending the University of Southern California (USC); after treatment, ABC reported that doctors declared her cancer-free in July 2024 and that she returned to college the following month. ABC News later told the family’s story in the documentary Life Interrupted: Isabella Strahan’s Fight Against Cancer.
Who are Michael Strahan’s twins?
Isabella and Sophia Strahan are the twin daughters of Michael Strahan, the former NFL player and television personality. The Associated Press and ABC identify them as his twins. ABC News and the Associated Press reported on Isabella’s diagnosis and recovery.
What happened to Isabella Strahan?
ABC reported that Isabella was diagnosed with medulloblastoma in October 2023, when she was a freshman at USC. She underwent emergency brain surgery, followed by chemotherapy and radiation. ABC’s accounts also describe rehabilitation during her recovery; the reports establish the broad treatment sequence without requiring a more exact timeline here.
In its February 2025 report, ABC quoted Isabella reflecting on what she learned during the experience: “I learned how you should advocate for yourself. I think the whole journey has taught me that.” The statement is her reflection on her own experience, not medical advice. Read ABC’s report.

How did Sophia support her sister?
According to ABC, Sophia encouraged Isabella to go to the emergency room when she was ill. That detail illustrates the support between the twins in the family’s account; it does not mean a family member can determine the cause of symptoms or diagnose an illness.
Did Isabella return to college?
ABC reported that doctors declared Isabella cancer-free in July 2024 and that she returned to USC in August 2024. Those are dated milestones reported by ABC, not confirmation of her present medical status. Reflecting on being back at school, Isabella told ABC, “It feels amazing.” ABC’s January 2025 coverage also quoted her saying, “It feels like I’m starting over,” about resuming college after treatment. ABC’s February 2025 report covers her return and recovery.
