Who are Harrison Butker’s parents?
His parents are Harrison Butker Sr. and Elizabeth Keller Butker. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution identified them by name in a 2017 report, and the Los Angeles Times used Elizabeth Keller Butker in its 2024 coverage.
What is known about his mother, Elizabeth Butker?
In 2024, the Los Angeles Times and Sporting News described Elizabeth as a medical physicist at Emory University’s Winship cancer and radiation oncology department. Both reported that she had worked there since 1988; that date reflects what those outlets reported in 2024, not a confirmation of her employment status today.
Sporting News reported that Elizabeth earned a master’s degree in medical physics from Georgia Tech and a bachelor’s degree from Smith College. These education details are attributed to that outlet’s 2024 profile.

What is known about his father, Harrison Butker Sr.?
Sporting News reported in 2024 that Harrison Sr. graduated from Emory University’s business school and was a financial analyst at MDKeller, a firm he co-founded. The report is the basis for those details; it does not independently confirm his current position.
How did Harrison Butker describe his parents’ support?
A 2016 Georgia Tech profile offers a specific picture of the family’s involvement during Butker’s college football years. It reported that his parents attended nearly all his games, and that he visited them and both sets of grandparents, who lived nearby.
His father recorded games and tracked kicking measurements in a detailed spreadsheet. Butker described the calculations this way: “He’s taking into account wind and gravity with ball pressure and the trajectory of my kicks and the angle I want to kick them at. I’ve never seen a spreadsheet like that before. It was crazy.”
In the same interview, Butker reflected on the home in which he grew up: “I think I’ll have had a successful life if I have a good family. If I raise my kids right, and in a good loving home, I’d be very proud, because that’s how my parents raised me, and that means a lot to me.” The comments are his description of his upbringing, not statements made by either parent.
