This is a dated guide to seven releases highlighted for the May 9–11, 2025 weekend—not a current-weekend watchlist. Tom’s Guide named titles on Peacock, Netflix, Max, Paramount+ and Hulu; the services and episode status below reflect its May 9, 2025 snapshot, not confirmed availability today.
Seven picks from the May 9–11, 2025 weekend
The selection spans a case-of-the-week mystery, a teen romance, travel comedy, NASCAR documentary, reality competition and two comedies with very different premises. The table preserves the roundup’s original service labels and release-week details.
| Title | Format and genre | Service named in May 2025 | What the roundup reported |
|---|---|---|---|
| Poker Face season 2 | Series; crime mystery | Peacock | Natasha Lyonne returns as Charlie Cale in a case-of-the-week series. Episodes 1–3 were streaming when the roundup was published. |
| Forever | Series; coming-of-age romance | Netflix | An adaptation of Judy Blume’s novel, set in 2018 Los Angeles and centered on Black teenagers Keisha and Justin. All eight episodes were streaming at publication. |
| Conan O’Brien Must Go season 2 | Travel docuseries; comedy | Max | Conan O’Brien travels in Spain, New Zealand and Austria. The roundup notes appearances by Javier Bardem and Taika Waititi. |
| Full Speed season 2 | Sports docuseries | Netflix | Follows the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs and drivers including Ryan Blaney, Joey Logano, Daniel Suarez, Chase Briscoe and Christopher Bell. All five episodes were streaming at publication. |
| RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 10 | Reality competition | Paramount+ | The roundup described an 18-contestant tournament, a $200,000 prize and Ice Spice as the first guest judge. |
| Nonnas | Film; comedy-drama | Netflix | Vince Vaughn stars as a man who opens a restaurant run by grandmothers after his mother’s death. The roundup identifies Staten Island restaurant Enoteca Maria as the real-life inspiration. The cast also includes Susan Sarandon, Talia Shire, Lorraine Bracco, Linda Cardellini and Joe Manganiello. |
| Summer of 69 | Film; teen comedy | Hulu | Jillian Bell’s directorial debut follows Abby, a Catholic-school senior and video-game streamer. Despite the title, the story is not set in 1969. |
Which pick fits your mood?
- For a mystery with a repeatable format: Poker Face season 2 brings Charlie Cale back for more individual cases.
- For a complete romance-season commitment: Forever had all eight episodes available in the roundup’s publication-week snapshot, and it offers a direct book-to-screen connection to Judy Blume’s novel.
- For travel and comic encounters: Conan O’Brien Must Go season 2 pairs a travel-docuseries format with visits to Spain, New Zealand and Austria.
- For sports storytelling: Full Speed season 2 focuses on NASCAR’s 2024 Cup Series Playoffs, with five episodes reported available at publication.
- For competition: RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 10 was presented as an 18-contestant tournament.
- For a film rather than a series: choose between Nonnas, about a restaurant and family grief, and Summer of 69, a teen comedy centered on Abby.
