Tamera Mowry recalled in her 2022 memoir that she and her twin sister Tia watched Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen for half a day in the 1990s, when the Olsen twins were about seven or eight. “It was just for a moment. Chloë Sevigny babysat Topher Grace
Sevigny and Grace grew up in Darien, Connecticut. Grace said Sevigny babysat him when he was about nine, and he had a childhood crush on her. He later summed up the memory this way: “I had a huge crush on her when she was my babysitter.” ELLE and AOL report his recollection.
Zac Posen babysat Lena Dunham
Fashion designer Zac Posen recalled babysitting Lena Dunham and taking her to school on the subway. ELLE also reports that he dressed her up and made outfits for her. The anecdote is recounted by ELLE and Us Weekly.

Bethenny Frankel cared for Paris and Nicky Hilton
Frankel worked for Kathy Hilton and took her daughters, Paris and Nicky, to school and activities. The accounts describe a nannying and personal-assistance role, rather than a single casual babysitting job. ELLE and AOL cover the connection.
Nikki Glaser babysat Maude and Iris Apatow
Comedian Nikki Glaser said she babysat Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann’s daughters, Maude and Iris, in 2007. In a 2026 appearance on The Howard Stern Show, as reported by Us Weekly, Glaser recalled earning “like $35, $40 an hour.” That is her recollection of a past job, not a current childcare rate.

Kiefer Sutherland looked after Gwyneth Paltrow and her brother Jake
Paltrow said Sutherland babysat her and her brother Jake while their mother, actor Blythe Danner, was working at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, where Sutherland was an apprentice. Sutherland separately recalled looking after Gwyneth for an hour or two on a couple of occasions. ELLE and AOL report the two recollections.
William H. Macy babysat Joan Cusack and Jeremy Piven
Macy said he babysat Joan Cusack and separately described looking after Jeremy Piven through the work and theater connections that brought them together. The stories are recounted by AOL and Us Weekly.
Michael Bolton watched Paula Abdul
Bolton described an improvised babysitting occasion involving Abdul when her older sister and Bolton’s guitarist were dating. The group could not leave the child alone, so Bolton watched her. Us Weekly and AOL recount the story.
Cher looked after Anthony Kiedis
Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis said Cher looked after him when he was in eighth grade in the 1970s. He was staying with Sonny Bono and Bono’s girlfriend at the time, and he and Cher reportedly talked. AOL includes Kiedis’s account.

Alice Cooper was a familiar adult to young Keanu Reeves
As a child, Reeves visited a Toronto recording studio while Cooper was making Welcome to My Nightmare. Reeves later called Cooper his babysitter, though the account does not establish that Cooper had a formal, hired babysitting role. Cooper said he did not realize the child known to him as “Ke” was Keanu Reeves until he saw Reeves discuss the connection on television. Cooper later joked, “I used to babysit John Wick.” The story appears in Us Weekly and AOL.
Usher watched Beyoncé and the group then known as The Dolls
Usher recalled watching Beyoncé and the other members of the group that would later become Destiny’s Child. He was careful about the label: “I don’t know if I could consider myself their babysitter, but I had a time where I had to watch The Dolls.” Us Weekly reports his account.

Selena Gomez chaperoned Maxwell Drew Johnson
Gomez accompanied Jessica Simpson’s daughter, Maxwell Drew Johnson, to an Olivia Rodrigo concert. Simpson praised Gomez as a great babysitter, but the specific outing described was a chaperoned concert trip—not evidence of an ongoing babysitting arrangement. Us Weekly and ELLE report it.
JoJo Siwa’s visit with North West was “pretend babysitting”
During a 2019 visit, Siwa and North West danced, played dress-up and made slime. The visit was described as “pretend babysitting,” so it belongs on a broad list of celebrity-caregiving stories rather than as an ordinary babysitting job. ELLE covers the visit.
Why lists of celebrity babysitters do not match
Entertainment roundups use different boundaries for “babysitting.” Some include formal or recurring care; others count a family-friend visit, a chaperoned outing or a joke about watching a group. Us Weekly’s January 15, 2026 update presents 12 entries, while AOL’s September 21, 2026 article presents eight. Neither count establishes a definitive or canonical list; the 15 examples here are a selection of separately attributed stories, with the type of care identified where the accounts make it clear.
