Pakistani outlets reported in September 2022 that 10-year-old Musa Tanveer had crossed YouTube’s 10 million-subscriber mark and received a Diamond Creator Award, commonly called a Diamond Play Button. Those reports described him as the first Pakistani YouTuber to reach the milestone, but the available reporting does not establish an exhaustive historical comparison of Pakistani channels.
What happened to Musa Tanveer?
On September 14, 2022, ProPakistani reported that Tanveer’s channel, Entertainment with Musa, had passed 10 million subscribers and that he had received the Diamond Play Button. The outlet described him as ten years old and reported 2.7 billion views and 470 videos at the time. Those are historical figures from 2022, not current channel totals. ProPakistani’s September 14, 2022 report.
Pakistan Today also reported that the channel had passed 10 million subscribers and identified Tanveer as ten. Its September 24 report said his family was from Lahore and had settled in Dubai; that describes the family’s location as reported then, not necessarily its present circumstances. Pakistan Today’s September 24, 2022 report.
ProPakistani described Entertainment with Musa as Tanveer’s main channel, featuring children’s skits and short, television-style episodes. It also named two other channels, Musa in Shorts and Musa in Live. These details come from the outlet’s 2022 article.

Was he the first Pakistani YouTuber to win the award?
Several Pakistani media reports used that description. ProPakistani and Pakistan Today called Tanveer the first Pakistani YouTuber to win a Diamond Play Button; UrduPoint’s September 19, 2022 interview title called him the first Pakistani child with 10 million YouTube subscribers, and HUM News used similar wording in a September 22 segment. These sources document how the milestone was reported at the time, but they do not independently establish that no other Pakistani channel had reached the threshold earlier.
- UrduPoint’s September 19, 2022 interview described him as a 10-year-old and identified Ijaz Ahmed Gondal as its anchor.
- HUM News’ September 22, 2022 segment described him as a 10-year-old Pakistani YouTuber and the first Pakistani child to win the award.
What does a Diamond Play Button recognize?
YouTube’s current official name for the awards is Creator Awards. The Diamond award corresponds to 10 million subscribers, but hitting that number does not by itself guarantee an award. YouTube says it reviews channels and awards them at its discretion. Its criteria include channel activity, compliance with YouTube’s terms and policies, and original main content. Channels must have uploaded within the previous six months and must not have disqualifying Community Guidelines or copyright issues. Membership in the YouTube Partner Program is not required. What is established—and what remains attributed to media reports?
The contemporaneous articles consistently reported Tanveer’s age, the 10 million subscriber milestone, and receipt of the Diamond Play Button in September 2022. The “first Pakistani” wording should be understood as a claim made by those outlets rather than as a conclusion backed here by a complete historical census. The 2.7 billion views and 470 videos likewise belong specifically to ProPakistani’s 2022 account.
YouTube’s current rules also say Creator Awards are “for personal use only, and may not be sold or distributed to anyone outside of your channel team members.” The award is recognition for a creator and channel team, not a resale item.
