Others recorded solo projects or formed bands. One important distinction: Kid Rock is an established musician whose work crossed into WWE, not a wrestler who started a music career.
1. John Cena: a documented rap-album release
Cena’s 2005 album You Can’t See Me, recorded with Tha Trademarc, is the clearest officially documented example in this group. WWE’s May 4, 2005 announcement says it contained 17 original tracks and was scheduled to reach stores on May 10. The first single was “Bad Bad Man.”

Explaining the album’s two-person approach, Cena said, “I wanted to bring that style back a little and get away from one MC up there doing his thing.” A 2006 WWE Music Group release reported that the album debuted at No. 15 on the Billboard Top 200. That is a historical debut position, not a statement about its current chart standing.
2. Chris Jericho: wrestling and Fozzy
Jericho is the lead singer of Fozzy, a rock band whose albums and WWE pay-per-view theme connection are noted in coverage by the Times of India and WrestleTalk. His example is a sustained band-and-wrestling crossover rather than a one-off recording credited to a ring persona.

3. Jeff Hardy: songwriting as a parallel pursuit
Hardy’s music project is identified as Peroxwhy?gen by WrestleTalk. The Times of India also describes music as a pursuit alongside wrestling and notes that some of Hardy’s songs served as entrance themes during his TNA period. The available accounts establish the project and the connection to his wrestling work, but do not establish its commercial reception.
4. R-Truth: rap and country
WrestleTalk reports that R-Truth, also known as Ron Killings, has released rap music as well as a country album titled The White Album. The genre shift makes his catalog a distinctive example of a wrestler recording outside a single musical lane. The cited account does not provide verified release timing or chart results, so neither is specified here.

- The new Abbey Road release features the new stereo album mix, sourced directly from the original eight-track session tapes
5. Lita: a punk-band project
After her WWE career, Lita was associated with The Luchagors, a punk band, according to the Times of India’s overview. This is a band project rather than a solo album built around her wrestling identity; the cited coverage does not establish the group’s reach.
6. Maria Kanellis: the solo album Seven Sins
The Times of India identifies Seven Sins as a solo album by Maria Kanellis. It is one of the more direct examples of a WWE personality releasing music under her own name. The cited source does not provide enough independently verified detail here to make broader claims about the release or its reception.

7. Hulk Hogan: a wrestling-themed music release
WrestleTalk reports that Hogan released an album in the 1990s. The account does not establish a precise release year or album title, so this example is best understood simply as a recorded-music venture rather than a fully documented discography.
8. “Macho Man” Randy Savage: rap on Be a Man
WrestleTalk identifies Savage’s rap album Be a Man as a 2003 release. The project is a striking contrast with his familiar wrestling persona, but the cited coverage does not establish sales or reception figures.

9. Lilian Garcia: singing and Spanish-language music
WrestleTalk reports that Garcia released the Spanish-language album ¡Quiero Vivir! in 2005 and that her 2002 single “Shout” charted. Those are secondary-source accounts; no specific chart position or track count is established here.

Kid Rock belongs on a list of music-and-WWE crossovers, but the direction matters: he was a recording artist whose songs entered WWE events and wrestler entrances, not a wrestler who began a music career. WWE’s official profile notes his 2018 Hall of Fame induction and the use of his music, including “American Bad Ass” for The Undertaker.

Different kinds of music careers
These examples are not ten equivalent levels of music-industry success. They range from Cena’s well-documented album and Jericho’s band work to Hardy’s parallel creative project, solo releases, a punk group, and wrestling-themed recordings. WWE’s use of a musician’s song is another kind of crossover altogether, as Kid Rock illustrates. An album or band credit establishes a musical venture; by itself, it does not establish commercial success.
