The documented examples below include earlier music associations, cover versions and tracks released on WWE compilations—not ten songs that were all mainstream hits before wrestling adopted them.
Earlier recordings and unexpected pairings
| Song and recording artist | Wrestler | How the pairing is documented |
|---|---|---|
| “Iron Man” — Black Sabbath | The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) | WWE says the team used the song before joining WWE, where audiences more commonly associate them with a later theme. [WWE] |
| “This Fire Burns” — Killswitch Engage | CM Punk; briefly, Randy Orton | WWE identifies it as Punk’s official theme from his 2006 debut through June 2011. Orton also used it briefly for two weeks before WrestleMania 22. [WWE] |
| “Rollin’” — Limp Bizkit | The Undertaker | The song is paired with The Undertaker on WWE’s Forceable Entry track list; that association does not establish it as his theme in every era. [WWE] |
Black Sabbath and the Road Warriors
The Road Warriors’ association with “Iron Man” is easy to miss if you know the team mainly through its later WWE presentation. WWE’s account places the Black Sabbath song earlier, before the duo’s WWE run, and distinguishes it from the theme audiences more commonly connect with them in WWE. [WWE]
Killswitch Engage and two wrestlers
“This Fire Burns” is strongly associated with CM Punk, but it was not exclusive to him throughout its wrestling history. WWE dates Punk’s official use from his 2006 debut to June 2011, while also noting Orton’s short two-week stint with the track before WrestleMania 22. [WWE]
Songs featured on WWE’s Forceable Entry
WWE’s Forceable Entry compilation connected well-known recording artists with wrestler themes. Its track list documents the following pairings. These are compilation associations; the list alone does not establish that each song served as a wrestler’s only or permanent entrance music. [WWE track list]

| Recording on the compilation | Wrestler named by WWE | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| “Legs” — Kid Rock | Stacy Keibler | Kid Rock’s recording is a cover of ZZ Top’s song, not the original ZZ Top recording. [WWE track list; WWE release announcement] |
| “The Game” — Drowning Pool | Triple H | WWE lists the Drowning Pool track as Triple H’s theme. [WWE] |
| “Glass Shatters” — Disturbed | Stone Cold Steve Austin | The compilation identifies the Disturbed recording with Austin. [WWE] |
| “Break the Walls Down” — Sevendust | Chris Jericho | This is the Sevendust version named on the compilation; WWE theme histories may discuss other versions. [WWE] |
Kid Rock’s “Legs” for Stacy Keibler
The title may be familiar as a ZZ Top song, but WWE’s compilation pairs Keibler with Kid Rock’s cover. Naming the recording artist matters: the wrestler-theme pairing is specifically with Kid Rock’s version. [WWE track list; WWE release announcement]
Drowning Pool, Disturbed and Sevendust
The same compilation credits Drowning Pool’s “The Game” to Triple H, Disturbed’s “Glass Shatters” to Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Sevendust’s “Break the Walls Down” to Chris Jericho. The last pairing refers to the Sevendust version on this release; it should not be generalized to every version associated with Jericho. [WWE]

A song recorded for Rey Mysterio
P.O.D., “Booyaka 619”
Unlike an existing recording later adopted for an entrance, P.O.D. recorded “Booyaka 619” for WWE’s The Music Vol. 9, and WWE identifies it as Rey Mysterio’s entrance theme. It is therefore best described as music made for wrestling, not a pre-existing P.O.D. single that Mysterio subsequently chose. [WWE]
Why entrance music can mean more than a song choice
Entrance themes can be original compositions, outside recordings, or artist recordings created for a wrestler. WWE composer Jim Johnston described the role of a theme this way: “These themes are a soundtrack to the movie of this person. It really has to do with the story.” [WWE]

WWE wrestler Shayna Baszler has emphasized recognition and atmosphere: “I think, first and foremost, it has to be recognizable,” and “And then, I think it’s important that it sets the mood of that wrestler.” [WWE]

Those are figures reported for the album’s original 2002 release, not current sales. [WWE’s April 4, 2002 announcement]

The compilation illustrates how wrestling music moved between worlds: tracks by established bands and artists could be presented alongside a wrestler’s identity, while other songs—such as P.O.D.’s “Booyaka 619”—were created for that setting. The pairing itself is part of the story, but the recording, version and period of use matter just as much.
