This list focuses on Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition and its expanded Remix edition, rather than treating every car as part of every game in the series. “Coolest” is a subjective mix of memorable design, enthusiast appeal and the variety that made the roster more than a tuner-car catalogue.
Why Midnight Club 3’s car list still stands out
Midnight Club 3 brought licensed real-world vehicles into the series. In a 2004 GameSpot interview, Rockstar New York producer Mark Garone said manufacturers had begun allowing vehicle damage in games, and the team chose to use licensed models. He described a roster of 19 vehicle licenses and more than 60 vehicles—a historical figure from that interview, not a measure of player popularity.
The selection ranged across classic and modern muscle, luxury sedans, tuners, SUVs, exotics and motorcycles. DUB’s role was not just a name on the box: Garone said DUB advised on which parts suited which cars, and that the game’s parts were licensed. As he put it, “All of the parts in the game are licensed, so almost any ride you can create in real life, you can do in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition.” That was a statement about the game’s customization in 2004, not a claim about current licensing.
Remix kept the original game’s cities, cars and music while adding 24 vehicles, Tokyo, new music, races and battle maps, according to Take-Two and Rockstar’s 2006 announcement. The ten choices below are an editorial selection from that MC3/Remix world, not an objective ranking. The game is an arcade racer, so its speed and handling are not real-world performance assessments.

10 cars from Midnight Club we’d love to own
1. 1964 Chevrolet Impala
The Impala brings classic American presence to a roster often associated with tuners. Its long, low profile makes it a natural canvas for the game’s customization, while the real car’s appeal is its instantly recognizable mid-century styling. The 1964 Impala is named in GameSpot’s partial roster table.
2. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro
The first-generation Camaro is a compact classic-muscle counterpoint to the Impala: broad-shouldered, purposeful and easy to imagine in a bold custom build. It represents the muscle-car side of MC3’s variety without requiring every choice to be an exotic or a Japanese tuner. GameSpot’s partial roster table identifies the 1969 Camaro.

3. Chevrolet Corvette Z06
The Corvette gives the list a distinctly American sports-car option. Its low, two-seat shape supplies the visual drama of an exotic while remaining a recognizable domestic performance car. GameSpot’s roster excerpt names the Corvette Z06; the game’s arcade behavior should not be confused with the real car’s performance.
4. Dodge Charger RT-SE
The Charger is the big, imposing muscle-car pick. It looks at home in a high-contrast custom treatment, but its appeal is not limited to modifications: the four-door shape gives it a different presence from the coupe-heavy choices on this list. GameSpot’s partial table lists the Charger RT-SE.

5. Chrysler 300C
The 300C adds a luxury-sedan silhouette with a substantial, upright stance. It is a reminder that MC3’s appeal was not only about nimble tuner coupes; a large sedan could be made visually distinctive, too. The 300C appears in GameSpot’s partial roster table.
6. Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 V-Spec
The R34 V-Spec is the tuner enthusiast’s natural choice: a recognizable performance-car shape with a strong identity even before customization. Rockstar’s game manual’s licensing text names the Skyline GT-R R34 V-Spec. That specific name matters; it is more precise than treating every Skyline generation or trim as interchangeable.

7. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
The Lancer Evolution brings rally-bred, four-door tuner character into the mix. It is a different proposition from a low-slung coupe: practical proportions and a competition-inspired image make it an appealing real-world fantasy as well as a customizable game car. GameSpot’s partial roster table includes the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, without specifying a generation there.
8. Toyota Supra
The Supra earns its place as a tuner-era icon and a compelling customization candidate. Roster references include it, though the available roster excerpt does not establish its precise presence by MC3 edition or identify a specific variant. This entry is therefore about the model family, not a claim that a particular year or trim appeared in every version.

9. Lamborghini Murciélago
The Murciélago supplies the unmistakable exotic-car fantasy: dramatic proportions and a shape that stands apart from the sedans and muscle cars. Rockstar’s manual’s licensing text names the Murciélago. Its place here is for design and variety, not a claim that the game reproduces real-world driving characteristics.
10. Saleen S7
The Saleen S7 is the list’s rarefied American exotic, combining a low, purposeful profile with a very different character from the Corvette. It makes the roster feel broader than a simple choice between muscle and import tuners. GameSpot’s partial roster table explicitly includes the Saleen S7.

The strongest MC3/Remix garage is not one built around a single winning archetype. A classic Impala, a luxury 300C, a Skyline, a Murciélago and an S7 represent sharply different ideas of automotive style. That breadth was part of the licensed roster’s appeal: players could build a ride around personal taste rather than choosing only among cars with similar shapes.
The franchise continued using real-world vehicle categories in Midnight Club: Los Angeles; Rockstar described that game’s mix as tuners, muscle cars, exotics and superbikes. That later roster is a separate one, however, and should not be blended into an MC3/Remix list.
