Several celebrities have openly discussed believing in astrology, consulting it, or wanting to learn more about it. Their statements range from Katy Perry’s description of astrology as a daily guide to Alix Earle’s account of being a curious beginner. Five additional names—Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, and Akshay Kumar—appear in a 2023 Times of India list, but that article does not provide direct quotations or linked primary evidence for each claim.
What these celebrity statements do—and don’t—show
The strongest examples below come from interviews or a reproduced Q&A. They document what each person said at a particular time; they do not establish that astrology can reliably predict personality or events. There is also no reliable published statistic for the proportion of celebrities who believe in astrology, so this list should not be treated as representative.
For context only, the Associated Press reported in 2025 that 27% of U.S. adults believed in astrology, similar to 29% in a 2017 Pew survey. Those figures describe the general U.S. adult population, not celebrities.
Five celebrities who discussed astrology in interviews or a Q&A
1. Billie Eilish: a change of mind
In remarks from an ELLE video interview reported by Complex on May 1, 2026, Eilish said, “That sh*t is real. Sh*t is true.” Complex reported that she had changed her mind after dating a Gemini man. This is a dated account of her comments, not evidence of a current endorsement beyond that interview.

3. Madonna: belief and her own chart
A fan publication’s transcript of Madonna’s 2013 Reddit Q&A records her answer to whether she believes in astrology: “i believe in the science of astrology i do not know my rising because you need to know your time of birth but my moon is in Virgo and i feel equally split down the middle 50% leo 50% virgo”. The source is the reproduced transcript, rather than the original Reddit page.

Different kinds of engagement, not a ranking
These examples are not interchangeable. Perry described daily consultation and astrology as a guide; Earle called herself both a believer and a beginner; Eilish recounted a shift in her view; and Madonna and Moonchild Sanelly stated belief in responses reproduced by their sources. The five Indian celebrities are included on the basis of a secondary list article. The evidence supports describing what was reported or said, not ranking how sincere or committed anyone is.
