Four celebrities have publicly discussed going without underwear, but their accounts describe different situations—not a shared habit of going commando in public. Gayle King spoke about sleeping without underwear; Drew Barrymore discussed going without it at home; Jason Kelce described a comfort preference with an exception for physical activity; and Kim Kardashian said her preference changed over time.
What these celebrity accounts do—and don’t—show
The available reporting supports four examples, not a verified list of ten. It also does not establish that any of these people routinely go without underwear in public. The settings and timeframes matter: a bedtime preference, behavior at home, a qualified everyday preference, and a past habit are not interchangeable.
The accounts below were reported by OK! Magazine on November 15, 2024, attributing the remarks to appearances on television or a podcast. E! News also summarized King’s remarks. These are secondary reports, rather than transcripts or direct episode pages.
Four celebrities who have discussed going without underwear
Gayle King: a preference for sleeping without underwear
OK! reported that King spoke about her bedtime routine during a November 14, 2024 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. She said she sleeps in a loose T-shirt and does not like wearing underwear at night. Her comments describe sleeping, not going without underwear in public. OK! Magazine’s report and E! News’ summary cover the appearance.

Drew Barrymore: remarks about home life
Barrymore discussed going without underwear at home, including a past conversation with her daughters about taking a “breathing break,” according to OK!. The same report says she sleeps nude when her children are away. These remarks concern her own home life; they should not be read as medical advice or as evidence about what she wears in public. Read OK!’s account of the conversation.
Jason Kelce: comfort, with an activity-related exception
In comments attributed to an April episode of the New Heights podcast, Kelce said he generally goes without underwear because he finds it more comfortable. He also described a clear exception: he wears underwear for physical activity because his thighs chafe, including when running or walking a lot. That makes his account a qualified preference, not an unconditional rule. OK! reported his comments and exception.

Kim Kardashian: a preference that changed
Kardashian said she went without underwear for several years because it bothered her, then later began wearing it and said she was “obsessed,” according to OK!. Her comments describe a change over time, rather than a current commitment to going without underwear. The article mentions SKIMS in context, but does not review a product or recommend one. See OK!’s report on Kardashian’s remarks.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why the list stops at four
A South China Morning Post headline published in March 2024 refers to eight people associated with going commando in public, but the available evidence for this article does not verify those underlying claims or establish a substantiated roster of ten. A headline alone is not enough to confirm each person’s account or to distinguish public appearances from private preferences. Adding names based on rumor, a wardrobe mishap, or a role on screen would give readers a misleading list.
