Spoilers ahead for Season 3, Episode 8, “Last Kiss.” Belly and Jeremiah’s wedding day ends without a wedding. The episode turns their unresolved feelings into a decision Belly can no longer postpone, but it does not end with her choosing Conrad. Instead, she leaves for Paris, and a final airport encounter keeps what comes next open.
What happens in “Last Kiss”?
Prime Video lists “Last Kiss” as the eighth episode of Season 3, with a one-hour runtime and a TV-14 rating. Its US listing gives the release date as August 26, 2025; Rotten Tomatoes and ELLE show August 27, and the checked listings do not explain the one-day difference. Prime Video’s episode listing and Rotten Tomatoes’ episode page identify the episode and its premise.
The wedding crisis begins before the ceremony. Conrad apologizes for his late-night confession, then tells Belly he still loves her. She feels the pull between them, but also knows that choosing Conrad would mean trusting someone whose past actions have hurt her. Taylor raises the same practical concern: does Conrad offer the steadiness Belly needs?
At the rehearsal, the brothers stand together while Belly practices walking down the aisle. The wedding plans become harder to treat as a fresh start when Jeremiah reveals he has accepted a job at his father’s office without talking it through with Belly. She is still thinking about Conrad, and that night she tells Jeremiah about the confession rather than keep it secret.

On the wedding morning, Jeremiah disappears. Conrad finds him in Susannah’s garden, where the brothers fight and say things they have been holding back. Jeremiah returns, and Belly finally admits she will always love Conrad a little. Jeremiah knows about the Christmas encounter and has seen how she looks at Conrad; for him, her admission confirms that he cannot marry her as things stand. Why the wedding falls apart
The episode’s real question is not simply which Fisher brother Belly loves. It is whether she can make a marriage commitment while minimizing feelings she has not resolved. Belly tries to be honest with Jeremiah, but honesty arrives after the relationship has already been shaped by the Christmas encounter, the confession, and her private doubts.

Jeremiah is not just an obstacle in a romantic triangle. His anger and his decision to leave are part of the episode’s emotional center: he recognizes that Belly’s heart is divided and refuses to treat that as a small detail on their wedding day. The scene gives the cancellation weight because the choice is not framed as a tidy transfer from one brother to the other.
Conrad’s confession complicates matters rather than settling them. He says what he feels, but the episode does not make that declaration a guarantee that he and Belly will work. Belly’s hesitation about his reliability remains part of the story, and the final scenes stop short of resolving it.

Does Belly choose Conrad?
No—not in this episode. Belly and Jeremiah do not marry, but the canceled wedding is not the same as a commitment to Conrad. Belly heads toward Paris, and the airport encounter with Conrad leaves her next move unresolved. The episode closes on possibility, not a confirmed reunion.
That ending can read as a pause in which Belly gets room to consider a life beyond the brothers. TechRadar’s review interprets the Paris trip as time and space for her to think; ELLE likewise reads it as a step toward a life beyond the Fisher brothers. Those are critical interpretations of the cliffhanger, not proof that Belly has made a romantic choice.

Does the episode earn its emotional payoff?
“Last Kiss” offers the long-delayed rupture the season has been building toward, and the wedding setting makes the stakes plain: Belly cannot keep postponing a choice while asking Jeremiah to stand at the altar. For viewers who wanted the triangle to reach a breaking point, the combination of confession, confrontation, and canceled ceremony gives the episode a strong dramatic payoff.
The trade-off is pacing. Because the central conflict has been stretched across the season, some viewers may find the wedding-day crisis satisfying while others may feel the show has taken too long to reach it. The episode’s most convincing gesture toward Belly’s agency is not that she picks one brother; it is that she stops the wedding when she realizes she cannot honestly go through with it.

Critics have responded differently. Jasmine Valentine’s TechRadar review welcomes the space Belly gets in Paris. Rotten Tomatoes displays a five-out-of-five Vulture review by Kathleen Walsh, who wrote that the season “finally made me cry” after eight episodes. That is one critic’s reaction, not evidence of a wider audience consensus.
Where the episode sits in Season 3
Prime Video’s episode descriptions make the wedding crisis part of a three-episode arc: Episode 7 sets up the last night out and emerging secrets, Episode 8 is the wedding day, and Episode 9 deals with the aftermath and Belly’s next choice. That structure makes “Last Kiss” both a climax and a bridge. It closes the engagement storyline while leaving the consequences—and Belly’s future— for the next episode.
