Their beach conversation is the episode’s emotional center: it brings the old question of what they mean to each other into the present, when Belly is preparing to marry Jeremiah. The scene feels less like a clean romantic turning point than a painful interruption—intimate, overdue from Conrad’s perspective, and badly timed for everyone involved.
What happens in Season 3, Episode 7?
Episode coverage describes Belly’s bachelorette party as a major setting before the story turns to a confrontation between Belly and Conrad on the beach. The broad premise is plain: the feelings and history between them have not disappeared, even as Belly approaches marriage to Jeremiah. Prime Video’s official clip is titled “Conrad Tells Belly He Still Loves Her”; that title establishes the clip’s premise, not a transcript of the scene.
The party matters because it makes the conversation more than a private reckoning between former almost-lovers. Belly is at the edge of a major commitment, and the people around her are caught in the consequences of a conflict that predates the celebration. The episode’s tension comes from that collision, not simply from the question of which brother Belly should choose.
Why the beach scene feels overdue—and unfairly timed
Conrad’s confession arrives after the moment when it would have been easier
The scene asks whether Conrad’s honesty can still change anything. His feelings may be sincere, but sincerity does not erase the delay or the hurt accumulated along the way. That makes the confession emotionally potent without making it a persuasive case for Belly to abandon the future she has been building.

The beach gives the confrontation a sense of shared history: away from the party, the two can face the unresolved bond between them. But a familiar setting cannot make the timing neutral. With a wedding approaching, even a long-awaited truth can land as pressure rather than liberation.
Belly’s response has more than one emotional stake
Belly is not responding to a confession in a vacuum. Her commitment to Jeremiah and her history with Conrad pull in different directions, and the episode’s setup makes it reasonable to read her reaction as shaped by both present choices and past hurt. That reading is interpretation, not a claim that one feeling cancels the other.

This is what keeps the scene messy rather than neatly cathartic. A declaration can clarify what Conrad wants while leaving Belly with the harder question: what does she want now, and what would acting on it cost?
Does the episode move the love triangle forward?
It advances the triangle by forcing its central conflict into the open at a moment when avoidance is no longer easy. But a confession is not the same as new understanding. For the scene to feel like more than another turn in a familiar cycle, the story needs to make the characters reckon with what their choices have done—not just renew the question of whether Conrad and Belly still feel something.

The bachelorette-party frame sharpens that test. It raises the stakes because other people and real commitments are implicated, but it also risks making the interruption feel unfair. That discomfort is part of the episode’s point: the scene can be moving and badly timed at once.
Where Episode 7 fits in Season 3
Prime Video’s season synopsis describes Belly nearing the end of her junior year of college and expecting another summer in Cousins with Jeremiah, whom the synopsis calls her soulmate, before events bring Conrad back into her life. That is promotional framing, not a neutral verdict on which relationship is right. Episode 7 turns that setup into a direct emotional collision.

Amazon describes Season 3 as an 11-episode season released weekly and exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories. The series is based on Jenny Han’s young-adult book trilogy. Readers interested in the source material can explore Amazon’s background on the series; the episode’s events should not be assumed to map neatly to a particular book or edition.
The surfaced episode-list result calls Episode 7 “Last Hurrah,” but an official episode guide confirming that title was not located. It is safer to identify the installment by season and episode number.

Verdict: a compelling confrontation, not a clean romantic answer
Episode 7’s beach scene works because it refuses to make timing irrelevant. Conrad and Belly’s history gives the conversation emotional weight, while Belly’s impending marriage makes the moment uncomfortable rather than purely triumphant. Whether the scene feels overdue or frustrating depends on how much weight you give Conrad’s honesty against the cost of arriving this late. Either way, the episode’s strongest choice is to let the confession complicate the situation instead of pretending it resolves it.
