Spoilers for The Morning Show season 4, especially episode 10, “Knowing Violation.” Bradley is released from prison in Belarus after Alex and Cory turn Celine’s threat into public evidence. The finale makes the discrepancy in two Wolf River reports a possible way to expose a cover-up—and brings the story’s conflicts over truth, trust and power to a head.
What happens in The Morning Show season 4 finale?
In “Knowing Violation,” season four’s tenth and final episode, Bradley Jackson has been imprisoned in Belarus for 28 days after being detained at the airport. In New York, Chip and Alex receive a Wolf River report obtained through Chip’s Freedom of Information Act request. Its figures differ from those in an internal document Bradley and her colleagues secured earlier in the season. The discrepancy gives them a possible route to establish an EPA cover-up and press officials to bring Bradley home, according to TVLine’s recap of the episode.
Meanwhile, Cory is preoccupied with Bradley. After speaking with Chip, he goes back through papers left by his mother. Alex confronts Celine, accusing her of creating a deepfake to damage Alex’s career. Celine answers with information about Alex’s dealings with a Russian oligarch and gives her 24 hours to resign or face exposure.
How does Celine’s threat turn against her?
In her post-finale interview with ELLE, director and executive producer Mimi Leder described the decisive sequence: Alex publicly accuses Celine of forcing her resignation, covering up the Wolf River scandal and keeping Bradley in Belarus to protect the Dumont family’s commercial interests. Celine calls Cory, with whom she has been having an affair, and threatens to keep Bradley imprisoned “forever” unless Alex stops.

Cory hands his phone to Alex, who holds it to a microphone so Celine’s words can be heard publicly. Her own threat becomes evidence against her. Leder says the move leads to Celine’s ouster and Bradley’s release. Cory’s action matters because it turns his private connection to Celine into help for Alex and Bradley at the moment the threat needs to be exposed.
Why do the Wolf River documents matter?
The two reports do not match: the figures in the report Chip obtains through his FOIA request differ from those in the earlier internal document. The finale treats that discrepancy as potential leverage in the effort to prove an EPA cover-up. It is a lead, not proof by itself; the episode’s other pivotal evidence is Celine’s audible threat to keep Bradley in prison.

What did Mimi Leder say the finale was about?
Leder described the season’s themes as “truth and trust,” adding: “What is real? What is the truth? It’s so elusive.” She said high stakes turn the story into a thriller. Her comments frame the finale’s two kinds of evidence—the disputed paperwork and Celine’s own words—without suggesting that either is interchangeable with the other.
Leder also said the prison scenes took Bradley, and the show’s “glossy world,” into unfamiliar territory: “We’d never seen Bradley—or anyone in our show, in our glossy world—in a disgusting prison, where you’re being tortured by light and sound.” She said Bradley’s defiance and continued integrity were important to show.

How does the finale fit into the season—and what comes next?
Apple’s July 2026 announcement says season four is set in spring 2024, almost two years after season three, with the UBA-NBN merger complete. Its season setup highlights hidden motives, new responsibilities and the challenge of establishing truth in a polarized America. Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons joined the season as guest stars; Billy Crudup is among the show’s core ensemble.
Apple’s announcement also identifies season five as the series’ fifth and final season. Separately, Apple reports that season three received 16 Emmy Award nominations; that figure is for season three, not the finale or season four. Apple lists Apple TV-supported platforms, including Amazon Fire TV devices, as one option for watching the series.
