Hallstrom also says that refusal contributed to her departure from The Price Is Right. Barker disputed her account and offered a different explanation for why she left; the reporting available here does not establish a definitive reason.
What Hallstrom says led to her remark
Hallstrom, one of the program’s “Barker’s Beauties,” left The Price Is Right in 1995, according to Fox News and The Daily Beast. In accounts reported around her appearance in the documentary Dirty Rotten Scandals, she connected her resentment toward Barker to a dispute over testimony and the circumstances of her exit.
Hallstrom says lawyers sought testimony that would undermine Parkinson’s sexual-harassment claim against Barker. She says she refused to participate and was the only person asked to give a deposition who declined. Hallstrom described the testimony she believed she was being asked to give as “felony perjury”; that is her characterization, not a legal finding established by the cited reports.
In an interview quoted by The Daily Beast, Hallstrom said: “I was the only one that was asked to give a deposition and did not. I didn’t want to commit felony perjury, which is exactly what it would have been if I gave a testimony.” She said the refusal was the final straw in her relationship with Barker.

Why Hallstrom says she left the show
Hallstrom alleges that the stated reason for removing her from the program was her weight, while she believes her refusal to support Barker in the litigation was the real cause. Those are Hallstrom’s claims about the motive for her departure, not an established finding about why she left.
Barker’s reported response
Barker disputed Hallstrom’s account. The Daily Beast quoted him from a 2002 appearance on CNN’s Larry King Live: “Holly was overweight,” he said. “But Holly had been overweight over a period of time. If we were going to fire Holly for being overweight, we would have fired her years ago.” His response gives a different explanation, but the reports cited here do not resolve the disagreement.

What the legal timeline does—and does not—show
The Daily Beast reports that Barker filed a defamation lawsuit against Hallstrom in 1995 and dropped it in 2000. It says Hallstrom later sued over malicious prosecution and that the case ended in a 2005 settlement. The cited reporting does not provide court records, settlement terms, or a court finding that determines the reason Hallstrom left the show. Parkinson’s lawsuit was an allegation, not by itself a finding of liability.

An iHeart transcript of Hallstrom’s March 19, 2026 appearance on Radio From Hell renders her as saying: “I was on his s list. I refused to testify in court to commit felony perjury for him. And that was the final straw. I hate that man.” The transcript contains an apparent error in “s list,” so that wording should not be treated as a verified verbatim quotation. The broader point matches Hallstrom’s account elsewhere: she links the remark to her refusal to testify and her departure from the show.
