The delay proves crucial: the message says Ukrainian special forces have already disabled the launchers. The episode’s international crisis runs alongside Jessica Knight and Jimmy Palmer’s decision to remain apart, despite still loving each other.
How Parker’s team tries to stop a nuclear strike
Belarus has aimed three mobile missile launchers at unknown targets in Europe. Parker, Torres, McGee and Kasie are tasked with locating them as the United States considers using precise nuclear weapons against the launchers.
Kasie receives a second coded transmission that could change the picture. Parker asks General Brancati and FBI Deputy Director Sweeney to wait while she decrypts it, but they initially refuse. The urgency grows as the president and Speaker of the House are unreachable because of technical problems aboard Air Force One, while the vice president is undergoing an emergency colonoscopy.
A risky interruption at NCIS
To buy Kasie time, Parker’s team interrupts the signal in MTAC and accidentally cuts power to the building. They use sledgehammers muffled by blaring Quiet Riot to get through the crisis, but the FBI storms the building and handcuffs the team. Sweeney eventually grants Kasie three more minutes.
