Zack and Deborah Snyder are the subjects of a CBR interview about Twilight of the Gods, a Netflix adult animated fantasy series rooted in Norse mythology. The available interview excerpt describes a revenge story set in motion when Thor attacks the Jtunn family of Sigrid, a half-human, half-Jtunn warrior, on her wedding day.
What is Twilight of the Gods about?
The series follows Sigrid and Leif, a human king, after Thor’s attack disrupts their wedding and devastates Sigrid’s family. They join with Loki and gather allies in an effort to kill Thor. That premise makes revenge the story’s central engine, set within a Norse-mythological fantasy world.
What the Snyders’ interview headline says—and what is established
CBR’s interview headline uses the wording “Netflix Gave Us the Green Light to Make It Very Adult.” The available excerpt identifies Zack and Deborah Snyder as the interview subjects and associates them with conceptualizing the series. It does not establish that the headline phrase is a verbatim quotation from either of them, so it should be read as headline wording rather than a confirmed direct quote.
The excerpt supports the series’ adult-animation positioning, but it does not explain specific creative decisions or what “very adult” means in practice. It gives no detail about the show’s content beyond the violent attack that triggers the plot.

How closely does the story follow Norse mythology?
The available description establishes a Norse-mythological setting and names Thor and Loki, but it does not provide enough detail to compare the series’ plot or characters with particular original myths. The wedding attack, Sigrid’s family, and the resulting quest for revenge are the story elements described in the excerpt; more specific claims about the show’s mythological adaptations are not established there.
