Star Wars: Skeleton Crew season 2 has not been confirmed in the official listings reviewed. Creators Jon Watts and Christopher Ford have said they would welcome making more and have considered possible directions, but their comments are not a renewal announcement. A later remark from actor Kerry Condon was explicitly uncertain.
Has Skeleton Crew been renewed for season 2?
No official season-two order is established by the sources reviewed as of October 4, 2026. Lucasfilm describes Skeleton Crew as a 2024 series, and Disney+ lists one season with eight episodes. Those listings describe the existing series, not a second-season greenlight. Lucasfilm’s series page and the Disney+ listing are the relevant official references; catalog information and availability can vary by territory and change over time.
What have Jon Watts and Christopher Ford said about making more?
In a TechRadar interview published around the first-season finale in January 2025, co-creators Jon Watts and Christopher Ford expressed interest in continuing the story, while making clear that their focus had been on completing the first one.
They would be happy to return
Watts said, “Yeah, we wanted to make sure this season had a satisfying beginning, middle, and end. But, if people want to see more Skeleton Crew, we’d be happy to make more.” Ford added, “We’re dreaming of it [a second season]. We’ve come up with different possibilities, so never say never.” Read the TechRadar interview.

The story was not built around a confirmed continuation
Watts said the team had “mainly been focused on telling this story,” while allowing that the kids might meet surprising people in the future. Ford pointed to a story possibility particular to the young cast: “if they appeared in something else, we’d be telling the story of how they grew up and found their place in the galaxy.” These remarks describe creative possibilities, not an approved season or schedule.
Does Kerry Condon’s 2026 comment confirm season 2?
No. In a May 2026 report, GamesRadar quoted Condon, who plays Fara, saying: “I mean, I heard maybe possibly, but I don’t know.” The phrasing is expressly tentative and does not identify an official decision or production plan. It is a cast member’s uncertain comment, not confirmation that Lucasfilm or Disney+ has renewed the show. GamesRadar’s report.
What would a second season be about?
There is no confirmed season-two synopsis. The creators’ comments point to broad possibilities: following the children as they grow up, find their place in the galaxy, or encounter new people. Lucasfilm describes the first season as a coming-of-age adventure set in the New Republic era, in which four kids become lost in the Star Wars galaxy after a mysterious discovery. That premise provides context for the creators’ comments, but it is not an announced plot for another season.
