What has changed for Season 3?
The confirmed news points to changes in both the ensemble and Tommy Norris’s work. Paramount said filming began in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 1, 2026, and announced that four returning performers had been promoted to series regulars. Michael Kelly had already been announced as a new series regular. Separately, TVLine reports that Tommy’s family-run company, CTT Oil Exploration & Cattle, LLC, is part of the season’s setup.

Those are production and cast developments, plus a reported story premise—not a complete account of Season 3. Neither the cast announcements nor the reporting on Tommy’s company establishes the season’s full plot.
How is Tommy’s role changing?
According to TVLine, Season 2 ended with Tommy forming CTT Oil Exploration & Cattle, LLC, a family oil venture involving Cooper and T.L. The move sets up a different work arrangement for Tommy than his previous corporate role: he can operate alongside family and spend more time in the field.

Series co-creator and executive producer Christian Wallace told TVLine that Tommy “really thrives whenever he’s in the patch, in the field with the hands” and doing more day-to-day operations. Wallace said the venture lets Tommy “lean into some of the stuff that he enjoys most out of this very difficult job.” That describes the direction the new company could take Tommy; it does not confirm specific Season 3 storylines beyond the setup.
Who is joining the cast, and who has been promoted?
Four returning performers are now series regulars
Paramount named Colm Feore, Mustafa Speaks, Bobbi Salvor Menuez and Francesca Xuereb as promoted to series regulars. TVLine identifies their characters as Nathan, Boss, Paigyn and Cheyenne, respectively. The announcement confirms their expanded billing status, but does not specify how much each character will appear or what their individual storylines will be.

Michael Kelly joins as William Crockett
Michael Kelly joins Season 3 as a series regular playing William Crockett. Paramount describes Crockett as the leader of the world’s largest oil management firm and as an industry titan whose manner conveys efficiency and money. That is the studio’s character description; the announcement does not explain how Crockett’s business will intersect with Tommy’s new venture.
When does Landman Season 3 come out?
No release date had been announced in Paramount+’s Season 3 guide dated September 10, 2026. The guide says the season will stream exclusively on Paramount+, but gives no premiere date. Production beginning in October does not establish a release window, so a premiere timing should not be inferred from the production announcement or earlier seasons.
