Spoilers for all of Season 3, especially Episode 10, “Monsters.” Georgia does not go to jail: the jury finds her not guilty after Austin tells the court that Gil killed Tom Fuller. Ginny set the reversal in motion, but the acquittal leaves both children carrying the weight of what they did. The finale’s milk scene hints that Georgia may be pregnant; creator Sarah Lampert later confirmed the pregnancy, but the father remains unknown in Netflix’s Season 4 update.
What happens in the Season 3 finale?
Georgia stands trial for Tom Fuller’s murder. Austin takes the stand and admits he witnessed Tom’s death, alarming Georgia, who thought he might deny seeing anything. He then says that Gil, his biological father, killed Tom. Netflix’s finale explainer identifies the accusation as part of Ginny’s plan; TIME also recaps Austin’s testimony and the verdict in its Season 3 finale analysis.
Ginny had recruited Simone, her father Zion’s girlfriend, to represent Georgia. She also pressured Cynthia to say Gil could have been at her house on the night Tom died, and persuaded Austin to choose Georgia over Gil. Cynthia lies on the stand, and the jury finds Georgia not guilty. The result brings Georgia back to her children, but Austin appears distressed by his role in the outcome.
Does Georgia go to jail?
No. Georgia is acquitted, so she does not end Season 3 in prison. The verdict depends on Austin accusing Gil and Cynthia’s testimony, both made possible by Ginny’s behind-the-scenes maneuvering. The legal result is clear; what it costs the family is not resolved by the verdict.

Why does Ginny’s plan matter?
Ginny has long wrestled with the harm caused by protecting her mother while also wanting adults to acknowledge Georgia’s behavior. In the finale, fearing Georgia will be imprisoned and Austin taken away by Gil, Ginny turns to manipulation and blackmail herself. Antonia Gentry, who plays Ginny, describes the turn this way: “Ginny is fully turning into Georgia by the end of the season.”
That resemblance makes the victory uneasy rather than triumphant. Georgia recognizes that her children have repeated her tactics and will have to live with the consequences. Brianne Howey, who plays Georgia, said, “But once Georgia realizes how her kids manipulated this situation, it’s quite sobering.” Showrunner Sarah Glinski said, “The burden she leaves on Austin and Ginny at the end of Season 3 is what we’ll have to deal with in Season 4.” The rescue has exposed a family cycle of secrecy and harm instead of neatly breaking it.

Is Georgia pregnant, and who is the father?
The finale’s last scene leaves the question open. Georgia drinks milk from the bottle, and Ginny asks whether her mother had said she drinks milk when pregnant. The episode suggests pregnancy but does not confirm it or identify a father.
Lampert later confirmed Georgia’s pregnancy in Netflix’s Season 4 update. That update leaves paternity unknown, with Paul and Joe both possible. TheWrap reports that Georgia slept with them within days of each other, explaining why the question remains unresolved without establishing which man fathered the baby. The on-screen clue, the later pregnancy confirmation, and the unanswered paternity question are distinct pieces of information.

What other Season 4 questions does the ending raise?
The trial is not the only thread the finale leaves open. Georgia’s father calls from jail and warns her about her mother; her mother and stepfather are also shown driving past the Wellsbury home. Netflix’s Season 4 update and finale coverage point to “Cycles and Origins” as the next season’s theme. The parents’ appearance is setup, not a full explanation of what they intend or what will happen.
Netflix said on November 26, 2025, that Season 4 filming had begun in Toronto. The cited update did not announce a release date, so one cannot be given from that announcement. Netflix’s official series page lists the show’s seasons.

How the finale’s ending works
The finale gives viewers two different kinds of answers. The courtroom question is settled: Georgia is acquitted. The emotional consequences remain active, as Ginny and Austin must face their parts in securing that outcome. Likewise, the final scene creates a pregnancy question that the creator later answers, while deliberately leaving the father unidentified in the Season 4 update.
