The *Ghosts* Season 5 preview points to a new group of spirits connected to one ghost’s past. The episode is “The Others,” Season 5, Episode 11, which aired on CBS on February 26, 2026. The headline’s claim that the twist “changes everything” goes beyond what the available preview description confirms.
What is the twist in the ‘Ghosts’ Season 5 sneak peek?
CBS’s official synopsis says Sam and the ghosts face “a new group of spirits from one ghost’s past.” That is the confirmed setup behind “The Others.” It establishes a connection to the past, but does not identify every newcomer or spell out the consequences of their arrival.
The exclusive preview was described as including a sneak peek and an interview with showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman. The available excerpt does not include a verbatim statement from either showrunner, so it does not support attributing a specific explanation or reveal to them. IMDb’s news listing reproduces the Collider excerpt; it is not the full interview.
When did ‘Ghosts’ return, and where does the episode fit?
“The Others” aired February 26, 2026, following a midseason break of more than two months, according to the preview listing. It is not the Season 5 premiere: CBS’s Season 5 episode guide lists “Soul Custody” as the October 16, 2025 premiere and “The Others” as S5 E11. The season’s two-part finale was scheduled for May 21, 2026.
