The episode aired October 3, 2024, and sets shipboard romantic chaos against a stream of emergencies.
What happens in “Singles Week”?
“Singles Week” is the second episode of Doctor Odyssey’s first season. Its official catalog summaries set up the episode’s two strands: Max, Tristan and Avery trying to navigate their relationship, and the crew fending off passenger advances as ailments spread aboard the ship.
Max and Tristan address the boundary problems left by Max kissing Avery. Max has broken ship conduct expectations and promises not to do it again. The uneasy truce briefly holds as they talk about a single passenger played by Chord Overstreet. The passenger calls his condition “probably eczema”; TVLine’s recap identifies it as an STI.
Do Tristan and Avery get together?
Max’s promise does not settle the triangle. Tristan and Avery kiss on a balcony, and Max sees them. That moment turns the episode’s relationship tension into a direct confrontation with the consequences of their choices, even as the ship’s medical team is pulled into passenger crises.

What medical emergencies happen aboard the Odyssey?
A hot-tub fight injures passengers
A dispute over a man in a hot tub becomes a fight and leaves passengers injured. It is one of the episode’s clearest examples of Singles Week’s romantic competition turning into work for the medical crew.
Kelly faints after taking a diuretic
Kelly, played by Stephanie Suganami, faints after connecting with Tristan. The team investigates a possible heart problem, but the recap explains that Kelly had taken a diuretic to try to lose weight for Singles Week. This is a fictional plot point, not medical guidance: the episode does not establish a real-world treatment protocol, and taking medication for weight loss without medical direction can be dangerous.

What happens to Captain Massey?
