What does “biggest prize ever” mean here?
Peacock and Paramount call Genat’s win “the largest cash prize awarded in network television history.” The qualifying phrase matters: the cited claim is about cash prizes on network television, not an independently established record across every television format, reality competition or prize category. Comparisons can also change depending on whether they count a single award, cumulative winnings or an advertised possible jackpot.
In a Paramount Australia and New Zealand recap dated March 27, 2025, Genat reflected: “5.8 million dollars I actually can’t even believe it. I knew I had it, I was feeling my dad was in there with me, God was in there with me. Oh, my goodness.”
