Walton Goggins’s “whole ‘nother level” remark was a promotional comment about how Fallout Season 2 could build on viewers’ familiarity with the series’ world—not a plot reveal or a measured claim that the season was better. He made the comment in an April 2025 Complex interview, as reported by NME. Season 2 has since premiered: all eight episodes are streaming exclusively on Prime Video.
What did Walton Goggins say about Season 2?
NME reported that Goggins said: “Now that people understand what the world is, this story just takes it to a whole ‘nother level.” NME also described him as saying the cast and crew were “deep into Season 2 of Fallout.” The interview was published in April 2025, while the season was in production.

The wording points to a change in storytelling opportunity: after introducing audiences to the show’s setting and rules, the next season could take that world further. It does not disclose specific events, characters or twists.
What does “a whole ‘nother level” mean?
Goggins was expressing enthusiasm about Season 2’s story building on what viewers already knew about Fallout. The phrase is his qualitative assessment, not a statistic or independently verified comparison of the seasons. Amazon’s published audience figures do not measure whether Season 2 is objectively “better” than Season 1.
#1 Best Overall
In the series, the story takes place 200 years after an apocalypse and follows shelter residents who are forced into the wasteland. Goggins plays the Ghoul, a morally ambiguous bounty hunter whose life spans 200 years of the post-nuclear world, according to Amazon’s series and renewal announcement.
Where Season 2 stands now
Season 2 is no longer upcoming. Amazon’s official guide says all eight episodes are streaming exclusively on Prime Video and describes the season’s journey through the Mojave wasteland to New Vegas. The show is based on the Fallout video-game franchise; viewers do not need to play a game to follow the series.

What is known about Season 3?
Amazon announced in June 2026 that Season 3 is officially on the way and filming had begun in Los Angeles. The announcement gave no release date, so Amazon’s published information does not establish when the next season will arrive. It also said the first two seasons had surpassed 100 million viewers worldwide, a cumulative figure Amazon tied to the service’s first 13 weeks after Season 2 began streaming—not evidence behind Goggins’s earlier comment.
