Contemporaneous reports in October 2018 said Suhel Seth had not publicly responded to multiple allegations of sexual misconduct. They do not establish why he had not responded. The allegations are claims attributed to the women who made them, not findings established by the sources cited here.
What did reports say about Seth’s response?
On October 11, 2018, The Indian Express reported that Seth told the paper he was “issuing a statement on Twitter in 10 minutes.” The paper said no statement had appeared by the time it went to press. That report records a promise and the absence of a statement at that time; it does not explain why he did not issue one.
In a report published October 28, 2018, Scroll.in said Seth had not responded to its inquiries over four days and had not tweeted since October 10. These are dated accounts of his public response as those outlets described it in October 2018, not evidence of his later statements or conduct.
What allegations were reported?
Scroll.in reported that at least seven women had publicly accused Seth of misconduct, describing accounts of incidents from 2009 through 2017. Its report included accounts attributed to author Ira Trivedi and model and actor Diandra Soares, as well as other women.

The Indian Express reported allegations from filmmaker Natashja Rathore, who described alleged forced kissing and groping, and journalist Mandakini Gahlot, who described an alleged forced kiss at a 2011 event. It also reported accounts from two other women concerning inappropriate messages or conduct, including messages allegedly sent to one woman when she was 17. These are allegations as attributed by the publications; the accounts differ and should not be treated as one uniform claim.
Why was he silent?
The cited reports do not establish Seth’s reason for not making a public statement by the dates they were published. They provide no verified explanation from him for the reported lack of response. It would therefore be speculation to attribute it to legal advice, strategy, guilt, or reputation management.

What consequences were reported, and what do they establish?
The Tribune reported on October 29, 2018 that Tata Sons said Counselage’s contract would end on November 30, 2018, and that the company had stopped engaging the firm after the allegations surfaced. That was a reported client decision, not a determination that the alleged conduct occurred.
The sources cited here document allegations and the public-response status reported in October 2018. They do not establish an authoritative finding about the allegations, explain Seth’s silence, or establish what happened in any later investigation or legal process.
