Super Bowl LIX was played on February 9, 2025. Comcast announced that its Xfinity Enhanced 4K service on X1 would carry the game with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos—the “first” claim applies to that Comcast offer, not to every way of watching. Tubi separately provided a free 4K stream, but its announcement did not say that Tubi included either Dolby format.

How to watch in 4K on Tubi
Tubi named Fire TV, Roku, Android TV, and tvOS among its supported 4K device examples. Actual support depends on the device and app, so check that your specific setup supports Tubi playback in 4K. A compatible device alone does not guarantee Dolby Vision or Atmos.
- Use a supported 4K television and a compatible streaming device.
- Connect them with a 4K-ready HDMI cable and make sure your internet connection is solid.
- Create or sign in to a free Tubi account and open the event stream on a supported device.
Tubi’s help page also includes a troubleshooting note that adjusting dynamic range from Dolby Vision to HDR may resolve color inconsistencies on some devices. That note is not evidence that Tubi’s Super Bowl stream carried Dolby Vision.
What Tubi’s event schedule and replay terms said
Tubi’s event page listed its schedule in EST: FOX Super Bowl LIX Pregame at 11:00 a.m., Tubi Red Carpet at 3:30 p.m., and Super Bowl LIX at 6:00 p.m. The 6:00 p.m. entry is Tubi’s schedule listing, not a confirmed kickoff time. FOX Sports’ announcement separately said the game was called at 6:30 p.m. ET.

The Tubi live stream was English-only and was not available for replay after it ended. The event is over; Tubi’s original stream is not a way to watch the game on demand.
What Tubi reported about its audience
In a February 11, 2025 statement, Tubi reported 15.5 million peak concurrent streaming viewers, a 13.6 million average-minute audience, and 24 million unique viewers across game-day programming. These are Tubi’s company-reported figures, not independently verified measurements in the cited announcement. Tubi’s post-event announcement quoted CEO Anjali Sud calling it “the most streamed Super Bowl ever.”

Why the Dolby claim was distribution-specific
Comcast and Dolby announced Dolby Vision and Atmos for Comcast’s Xfinity Enhanced 4K experience and named the Xfinity Stream app on compatible Dolby-enabled devices and TVs. Tubi’s separate claim was 4K streaming. Because the Tubi materials do not identify Dolby Vision or Atmos as stream features, its 4K offer should not be described as including them.
Comcast characterized Enhanced 4K as a live-sports service with ultra-low latency, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos. The cited announcements do not document the complete production and encoding chain for every feed, so they do not establish that all cameras or production stages captured native 4K.
