The documentary’s central tension is the gap between what its cameras can witness and what viewers can know about a subject who remains difficult to read.
What is You Can See Everything about?
In its official synopsis, A24 says that 34 days before Holmes was sent to prison, she invited a skeptical film crew to document her every move. What begins as an intimate portrait becomes a three-year journey. The Associated Press reports that filming was secret and extended over three years, with the camera initially following Holmes in the weeks before she reported to prison.
The AP describes the film as a strange coda to the Theranos saga, reporting unusually intimate access to Holmes and her partner, Billy Evans. Holmes was convicted on four felony counts of fraud and conspiracy and entered a Texas prison in May 2023, the AP reports. The film’s focus is not simply a replay of that case: it is the uneasy encounter between a camera crew and a figure whose private presence may be just as hard to interpret as her public one.
Does the film’s access make Holmes easier to understand?
Not necessarily. Access can show where a subject goes, whom she spends time with, and how she behaves around others. It cannot automatically verify what she says, reveal what she intends, or settle whether a moment is candid or performed. The Guardian characterizes the film as a destabilizing, thorny encounter between filmmaker and subject; that critical response fits the distinction between witnessing Holmes and fully understanding her.

The title suggests total visibility, but the premise raises a more difficult question: does seeing more resolve the subject, or sharpen the limits of interpretation? The film’s reported intimacy may draw viewers closer while making them more alert to the distance that remains. The camera’s presence is part of that problem, not a guarantee that it has solved it.
How do Fielder’s presence and the film’s craft shape the experience?
This is not only a matter of what Holmes permits the crew to film. Fielder’s role as a filmmaker in the encounter matters too: his presence affects how viewers read both the subject and the act of filming her. The Washington Post highlights the importance of score, pacing, and cinematography to the experience, while the Guardian’s assessment stresses the film’s destabilizing quality. Those are critical judgments, but they point to why the documentary’s form matters alongside its access.

Sound, duration, and the framing of a scene can guide attention without functioning as factual proof. An intimate image may invite sympathy, suspicion, or fascination; it does not establish which response is justified. The film’s craft, as described by early critics, contributes to its unease rather than replacing the viewer’s judgment with a definitive explanation.
Does prior familiarity with the Theranos story change the viewing experience?
It can change what a viewer attends to. Someone who already knows the broad chronology may focus less on learning the case and more on the film’s method: what the crew is allowed to see, how Fielder figures into the encounter, and where observation stops short of verification. That is a way of approaching the film, not a guarantee that prior knowledge will improve or diminish the experience.

Viewers looking for background should distinguish this documentary’s reported direct access to Holmes from screen treatments that recount the Theranos story. The sources available here do not support a detailed comparison with particular documentaries or miniseries.
When and where can you watch it?
A24 lists October 16, 2026, as the US theatrical release date. The Guardian reported that UK and Australian release dates had not been announced at the time of its coverage. Those territorial plans can change. A24’s listing confirms theatrical information; the sources cited here do not establish streaming, digital rental, or physical-media availability.

What early screenings and critics have said
The Associated Press reports that the film screened by surprise at Telluride on September 6 and premiered at the New York Film Festival on September 30. After the New York screening, Fielder told the AP during a Q&A, “I am still struggling to this day to understand what I went through.” He also said, “I cannot tell you how weird it was that we were there.” Those comments describe Fielder’s experience, not a statement made by the documentary itself.
Because the US theatrical release is scheduled for October 16, 2026, the Guardian and Washington Post responses are early critical assessments rather than a measure of a settled post-release consensus. They are most useful here as perspectives on the film’s tone and technique, not as proof that its proximity to Holmes answers every question about her.
