Separately, Spain’s public broadcaster RTVE has announced an adaptation of Talpa Studios’ music-duel format The Winner Takes It All, to be produced with Stratos Studios. RTVE says 50 contestants will compete for €100,000; it has not announced a premiere date.
What Banijay acquired for Scrambled Up
Banijay Entertainment’s October 6, 2026 news listing says the company acquired both global format rights and finished-tape rights to Scrambled Up. The announcement describes a move to market the US-created studio show, not a commission by a broadcaster or a confirmed local broadcast. Banijay’s announcement listing identifies the deal; Prensario International’s October 6, 2026 coverage reports the format details.
How Scrambled Up works
Four contestants solve scrambled words that grow more difficult. As letters are revealed, the host provides clues. The game then moves through two main rounds to a timed Speed Scramble, where players tackle shorter puzzles organized by category. Prensario reports a format length of 320 episodes of 30 minutes each.
Prensario names The Tornante Company, Keller/Noll (Cleve Keller and Dave Noll), Crazy Legs Productions, and Playing Field Entertainment among the developers.

What RTVE announced for The Winner Takes It All
On October 5, 2026, RTVE announced a Spanish adaptation of Talpa Studios’ format. RTVE says it will produce the version in collaboration with Stratos Studios. The announcement describes 50 contestants with expertise across musical genres competing in elimination-style duels, with a €100,000 prize for the winner. RTVE’s announcement does not give a premiere date or episode count.
How the Spanish music duels are played
The contestant selected to play chooses a neighboring rival. Each contestant performs a song, accompanied live by a band, and three music judges score the performances. RTVE lists a broad mix of genres, including pop, soul, jazz, rock, chanson, opera, musical theatre, folk, country, schlager, Latin, copla, and singer-songwriter music. The duel structure makes the format a music competition built around head-to-head choices and eliminations, rather than a conventional performance-only talent showcase.

How the two format announcements differ
These are separate industry deals, not two versions of the same show. Banijay’s announcement concerns the international rights and marketing of a word-puzzle format. RTVE’s announcement is a Spanish adaptation deal for a Talpa Studios music competition, with the broadcaster and Stratos Studios attached to production.
International context for The Winner Takes It All
RTVE says the Dutch original premiered on SBS6 earlier in 2026, was renewed, and averaged a 15.4% market share; it calls the launch the channel’s strongest talent-show launch in five years. RTVE also says France acquired an adaptation and describes Spain as the third international adaptation. These are RTVE’s characterizations and reported figures. Talpa Studios’ July 9, 2026 announcement confirms the France Télévisions commission and the Dutch recommission for a second season. Talpa reports a 15.8% average market share for Live+0 viewers aged 25–59, says five of eight episodes exceeded one million viewers, and reports a finale peak of 20% share in that same demographic. The 15.4% RTVE figure and 15.8% Talpa figure have different source descriptions and should not be treated as directly comparable.
