There is no single, complete January-to-December ranking established here for the highest-grossing music tours of 2024. Billboard’s 2024 year-end Boxscore figures cover eligible reported concerts from October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024; Pollstar published a separate worldwide year-end chart and reported cumulative grosses for tours spanning multiple years. Those measures answer different questions, so the figures below are identified by publisher, period, and scope.
What “2024” means on the year-end charts
Billboard’s year-end Boxscore chart used figures reported for eligible shows held between October 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024. It is a reporting-year chart, not a calendar-year count of every concert that took place from January through December 2024. Its figures are reported box office, not a claim that every show worldwide was captured. Soompi’s account of Billboard’s chart identifies the period and selected placements.

Pollstar’s 2024 year-end worldwide chart is a separate publication with its own coverage and methodology. The Associated Press says Pollstar’s estimates draw on box-office reports, venue-capacity estimates, historical venue ticket-sales data, and other research; they should be described as estimates, not audited totals. A tour’s cumulative gross across its full run is also different from its gross during one chart year. These are Billboard year-end reported grosses for its October 1, 2023–September 30, 2024 eligibility window, as reported by Soompi in 2024. Attendance and show counts provide context, but neither is a revenue ranking: artists play different numbers of dates and venues, and ticket totals do not reveal ticket prices or gross by themselves. Other reported Billboard placements
A Yahoo Entertainment account of Billboard’s Latin touring list reports Luis Miguel at $290.4 million across 128 shows and Bad Bunny at $211.4 million across 49 concerts; both were reported within the overall top ten. These amounts are attributed here to that secondary account, rather than presented as independently verified primary-chart data. Yahoo Entertainment’s report provides the cited figures.

Why The Eras Tour and Coldplay totals need a time-period label
Pollstar’s year-end announcement gave Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour an estimated cumulative gross of $2,201,107,485 across its full 149-show run. The Associated Press rounded Pollstar’s estimate to about $2.2 billion. Both are full-tour totals, not the Eras Tour’s 2024-only gross or a direct entry in Billboard’s October-to-September chart. Pollstar’s 2024 year-end chart announcement states the precise cumulative figure.
The Associated Press also reported Pollstar’s estimate of $1.14 billion for Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour at that time in December 2024. That, too, is a cumulative tour estimate, not a single-year gross. The Eras and Coldplay totals illustrate the scale of long-running tours; comparing them directly with one-year chart figures would mix periods and, in some cases, data methods.

- Check the publisher. Billboard’s Boxscore reporting and Pollstar’s worldwide chart are distinct sources, not interchangeable versions of one universal list.
- Check the dates. Billboard’s cited year-end window runs October 1, 2023–September 30, 2024. A cumulative tour figure can span several years.
- Check the scope. An all-genre placement and a genre-specific rank answer different questions.
- Check the metric. Gross revenue, tickets sold, and number of shows are separate measures; attendance alone does not establish which tour earned more.
- Check data status. Billboard figures described as reported box office and Pollstar estimates based on reports and other research should retain those attributions.
What the available figures do—and do not—establish
The cited reporting supports selected Billboard placements and grosses, two Latin-list figures reported secondarily, and Pollstar’s cumulative estimates for major tours. It does not establish a complete rank-by-rank Billboard or Pollstar all-genre table with verified gross and attendance for every tour. For that reason, the figures here are selected results rather than a claimed definitive top ten for calendar year 2024.
