The reported Primate trailer opens on a disturbing 911 call, then sets up a Hawaii vacation that becomes a fight to survive after a chimpanzee named Ben turns violent. The call’s chilling phrase is “he killed all the others,” but the available report does not identify the caller or provide a full transcript.
What happens in the Primate trailer after the 911 call?
ScreenRant reported on October 16, 2025, that Paramount released the official trailer after teasing a clip centered on an unsettling 911 call. The short phrase attributed to the caller is “he killed all the others.” It is presented as teaser dialogue, not as a complete transcript or a confirmed account of a scene in the finished film. After the call, the reported premise shifts to Lucy and her friends on vacation in Hawaii. Ben, a chimpanzee rescued by Lucy’s mother, becomes violent; a mysterious bite mark is part of the chain of events that turns the holiday into a survival scenario. These are trailer and premise details described in reporting, not independently verified details from the film itself. ScreenRant’s report, via IMDb News; Spanish-language republication.
Who made Primate?
The report names Johannes Roberts as director and co-writer. It identifies Johnny Sequoyah as Lucy and Troy Kotsur as Adam. ScreenRant’s report, via IMDb News.

#1 Best Overall
- Chimpanzee Koba: This chimpanzee is called Koba. It has round and shiny eyes, realistic and friendly expressions, and a super soft touch. There are some black lines on the hands and feet, which are added finger boundaries.
- Perfect Size: Koba Chimpanzee 11.8 * 9.4 * 13.7 inches, with soft limbs that can swing freely. It can pick up the arm of the chimpanzee to imitate the gesture of greeting and interact with children. Children can also easily pick up the doll. The light and soft chimpanzee makes children love it.
- A good companion for playing and sleeping: When children play during the day, they will keep this chimpanzee stuffed animal toy by their side to accompany them. At night, they can put Koba by their bed or hug Koba to sleep together. With the companionship of this chimpanzee, children will sleep more soundly.
- Party Decoration: When holding a jungle themed party, chimpanzees shining as jungle animals are a great choice. Of course, on Christmas or commemorative days worth celebrating, chimpanzees can be brought out to play together or used as decorations at home.
- The best gift: If you give a gift for kids on any day or their birthday gift, Christmas, Easter, Halloween, there are multiple options for parents to choose from. This is the best stuffed animal toy for children, which will make them feel very happy.
Is Primate a replacement for The Monkey?
The “replacement” framing works as a loose comparison for horror fans, not as a claim that the films are connected. The reported threat in Primate is a violent chimpanzee and the setup is a survival story; the available report does not establish an official connection or a direct comparison with The Monkey. The practical distinction is what a viewer wants: an animal-threat trailer explanation or coverage of another horror premise.
When is Primate coming out?
A Spanish-language republication gives January 9, 2026 as a release date but does not identify the territory. That date should not be treated as a confirmed local release date without checking the relevant market. Spanish-language republication.
