Victoria Goodwin, wife of Ghost Adventures star Aaron Goodwin, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder and was sentenced to 36–90 months in prison on June 5, 2025, with credit for time served. Why was Aaron Goodwin’s wife arrested?
Authorities alleged that Victoria Goodwin was involved in a plan to have her husband killed while he was filming Ghost Adventures in California. The reported plan was intended to unfold in October 2024. The details of the alleged plot came to light, according to Court TV, after authorities seized a contraband cellphone belonging to Florida inmate Grant Amato. Court TV reported messages attributed to Amato and Victoria concerning the plan.

Court TV quoted a message attributed to Amato: “He’s asleep right now in the hotel room…I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?” It also quoted a message attributed to Victoria: “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.” These are reported communications attributed to the people involved; they should be understood as part of the allegations and reporting, not as a substitute for the case’s legal outcome.
Did Victoria Goodwin plead guilty?
Yes. Victoria was initially charged with solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder. In April 2025, prosecutors dropped the solicitation charge under a plea agreement, and she pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder. The plea resolved the case on that count; the earlier solicitation charge was not part of the final conviction.

In October 2025, The Independent reported that Aaron said he would not watch the Ghost Adventures episode containing the moment police informed him of the arrest while he was filming. The outlet quoted his post: “I won’t be watching this episode cause I don’t want to relive that night again & what happened before the call.” The Independent reported his comments.
