“Ang Aso at ang Pusa,” na iniuugnay kay Mark Joseph Aragon sa mga kopyang makukuha online, ay isang pabula tungkol sa pagtatapon ng basura, pananagutan, at pagkakaibigan. Nagbabala si Aso na maaaring magdulot ng baha ang mga kalat; nang malagay sa panganib si Pusa, iniligtas siya nito. Buod ng “Ang Aso at ang Pusa”
Masipag at matapang si Aso, at sinusunod niya ang payo ng kanyang ama na pangalagaan ang kalikasan. Kapag nakakakita siya ng kalat, pinupulot niya ito at inilalagay sa basurahan. Si Pusa naman ay inilalarawang bugnutin, abala sa kanyang itsura, at madaling magsinungaling.
Isang araw, nakita ni Aso si Pusa na nagkakalat. Pinagsabihan niya ito at ipinaliwanag na maaaring magbara ang basura at magdulot ng baha. Hindi nakinig si Pusa at gumawa pa ng dahilan upang pagtakpan ang ginawa niya. Nang tumaas ang tubig-baha at malagay sa panganib si Pusa, iniligtas siya ni Aso. Nangako si Pusa na aalagaan na niya ang kapaligiran, at naging magkaibigan silang dalawa.
Sino-sino ang mga tauhan sa pabula?
Aso
Si Aso ang masipag, matapang, at maalagang tauhan. Hindi lamang siya nagsasalita tungkol sa kalinisan; kumikilos siya sa pamamagitan ng pagpulot at tamang pagtatapon ng basura. Ipinakita rin niya ang malasakit nang iligtas niya si Pusa.

Pusa
Si Pusa ang tauhang nagkakalat at nagsisinungaling upang umiwas sa pananagutan. Nagbabago ang kanyang asal matapos siyang iligtas ni Aso, at nangangako siyang magiging responsable sa kapaligiran.

Bakit nagsinungaling si Pusa kay Aso?
Nagsinungaling si Pusa upang umiwas sa pagsaway at sa pananagutan sa pagkakalat. Bahagi ito ng kanyang paglalarawan bilang tauhang hindi muna nakikinig sa babala ni Aso. Ipinakikita ng pangyayari na hindi naaayos ng palusot ang pinsalang maaaring idulot ng iresponsableng kilos.
Ano ang aral ng pabula?
Ang pangunahing aral ay dapat pangalagaan ang kalikasan at panagutan ang sariling kilos. Sa kuwento, ang pagtatapon ng basura ay hindi simpleng paglabag sa kalinisan: inilalarawan itong posibleng makabara sa daluyan ng tubig at magpalala ng baha. May isa pang aral tungkol sa pagtulong. Iniligtas ni Aso si Pusa kahit nagkakalat ito at nagsinungaling sa kanya. Gayunman, ang kabutihan ni Aso ay hindi nagpapawalang-sala sa ginawa ni Pusa; kailangan pa rin nitong kilalanin ang pagkakamali at magbago.
