Jason Kelce said he had told his wife, Kylie, that he planned to take off his shirt and cheer during the Kansas City Chiefs–Buffalo Bills game. Recalling the conversation on the New Heights podcast, he said Kylie warned him, “Jason don’t you dare.”
What happened at the game?
Jason took off his shirt while celebrating a touchdown by his brother, Travis Kelce, during a Chiefs–Bills game. The moment became a talking point when the brothers discussed it on their podcast, New Heights.
What did Kylie say?
According to a January 25, 2024, Yahoo Entertainment report, originally published by People, Jason said he had warned Kylie of his plan as they entered the suite. He recalled her telling him, “Jason don’t you dare,” and said he was “not asking for permission.” Read the Yahoo Entertainment report.
Was Kylie publicly “not happy” afterward?
“Not happy” is the headline’s characterization of the story. The report attributes the objection to Jason’s recollection of what Kylie told him before he went shirtless; it does not quote Kylie making a separate public statement about her feelings after the incident. The account is based on the syndicated report’s description of the podcast discussion, not a published transcript of the full episode.
