Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s Infinity Castle arc is officially being adapted as a trilogy of films. The first movie has already been released theatrically and began streaming on Crunchyroll on July 28, 2026. Official announcements covered here do not give release dates for the second or third films.
What is the Demon Slayer Infinity Castle trilogy?
It is a three-film adaptation of the Infinity Castle arc, part of the final story of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Aniplex announced the trilogy on July 1, 2024, after the Hashira Training Arc finale. The official franchise site describes the films as adapting the final arc and bringing the anime series toward its culmination.
The announcement establishes the planned format: three films rather than a single movie. It does not mean all three films have release dates or that they are arriving together.
When did the first Infinity Castle movie come out?
The first film opened in Japan on July 18, 2025. Aniplex’s planned Japanese rollout included 443 theaters: 390 standard theaters and 53 IMAX theaters.

For North America, the official English site listed September 12, 2025, as the theatrical opening date. It also listed international openings across named markets from August 14 through September 25, 2025. The North American release was offered with English subtitles and an English dub.
These were regional theatrical schedules, not one worldwide opening date. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment were named as distributors for the trilogy worldwide outside Japan and select Asian territories.

When is Infinity Castle 2 coming out?
No release date for the second film is stated in the official announcements covered here. The third film also has no announced date in those sources. The confirmed fact is that the arc is planned as a three-part film series; a schedule for installments two and three has not been established by these announcements.
That distinction matters when assessing dates circulating elsewhere: do not treat a projected year or an unsourced listing as an official release date.
