After the affair between Tom Sandoval and Rachel Leviss became public in March 2023, Sandoval returned for Vanderpump Rules season 11, where the breakup with Ariana Madix and the cast’s divided response played out on camera. The show later announced a new-cast reset. Sandoval went on to compete on The Traitors and House of Villains, while separate disputes over the former couple’s home and Leviss’s lawsuit followed their own timelines.
Season 11 put the immediate fallout on screen
News of Sandoval’s affair with Leviss broke after season 10 had finished filming in March 2023. The cast returned to film additional aftermath, followed by a three-part reunion. The Associated Press described the scandal as bringing unusually broad attention to the series. The AP’s account of the show’s pause and reset covers that transition.

Sandoval returned for season 11, filmed without Leviss. He tried to make amends, but Madix participated in group scenes with him while declining one-on-one interaction. That boundary became a source of friction among castmates. Bravo’s Sandoval profile and a Bravo After Show clip also document that the former couple were still living under one roof as the shared home remained in dispute.
Vanderpump Rules announced a cast reset
After the season 11 reunion, the original series was put on pause. In late 2024, Bravo announced that Vanderpump Rules would return with an entirely new cast apart from Lisa Vanderpump. That was a reset of the show’s cast, not an announcement that the franchise itself had ended. The announcement closed the original cast era that had followed Sandoval’s scandal, but it did not end his reality-TV appearances.

Sandoval appeared on two later competition shows
The Traitors season 3
Sandoval was announced as a season 3 contestant in June 2024. Peacock’s exit interview, published March 3, 2025, discussed his gameplay and how he viewed his reception. “Whether they’re laughing with me or laughing at me, I just want everybody to be laughing and enjoying themselves. So, I view that as a win,” he said. That is Sandoval’s own description of his aim, not evidence that public opinion had recovered. Peacock’s season 3 cast announcement and his exit interview provide the show details.
House of Villains season 3
Peacock’s official guide lists Sandoval among the contestants for season 3 of House of Villains, which premiered exclusively on Peacock on February 26, 2026. The contestants competed for a chance to win $200,000; that is the show’s prize, not a reported payment to Sandoval. Peacock’s season guide gives the premiere, cast and prize details.

In January 2026, TMZ reported that Sandoval and Madix had reached a conditional settlement in Madix’s suit seeking the sale of their shared home. The report said the terms were undisclosed and that the case would not be dismissed until unspecified conditions were met. TMZ later reported that the Valley Village home sale closed for $3.1 million in May 2026. That figure is the reported sale price, not a court-verified calculation of either party’s proceeds. TMZ’s settlement report and its report on the sale describe those developments.
Leviss’s lawsuit had a procedural appellate development
Leviss sued Sandoval and Madix in 2024. On August 5, 2026, the California Court of Appeal affirmed the denial of Madix’s anti-SLAPP motion, concluding that she had not shown that the claims against her arose from protected activity for purposes of that early-dismissal procedure. The ruling did not decide whether Leviss’s allegations were true or establish liability. The appellate opinion in Leviss v. Madix addresses that limited question.
