There is no verified account confirming that Swamp People star Ashley “Deadeye” Jones lost weight. A January 2024 article reported fan speculation about her appearance, but those comments are not a statement from Jones or proof of a measured change. Photos can show how someone appeared in particular moments; they cannot establish a weight-loss journey, its cause, or its extent.
What viewers noticed in Ashley Jones’s photos
On January 6, 2024, Reality Shrine reported that fans were discussing an apparent change in Jones’s appearance. One comment reproduced by the outlet asked, “Have you lost weight?? You looked fabulous before but wow!!” Another fan wrote, “Girl you lost a lot of weight. All muscle now!” Those are audience remarks, not words from Jones.
The article does not report a response from Jones confirming weight loss. It also provides no measurement, dates establishing a before-and-after change, or explanation of what might account for viewers’ impressions. The comments document speculation—not a verified transformation. Reality Shrine’s January 2024 report.
What can—and cannot—be established from a photo comparison
A photograph records a particular image, not a person’s weight. Camera distance, pose, clothing, lighting, angle, and timing can all differ between pictures, making apparent changes difficult to interpret. Even a carefully selected pair of images would not establish a number of pounds lost or prove that a person intentionally pursued weight loss.

No dated, matched set of photographs in the cited reporting verifies a physical change. Without comparable conditions and a direct confirmation, the available evidence supports no conclusion about Jones’s weight.

That profile establishes her role and the network’s description of her; it says nothing about weight loss. A separate TV Insider report published January 6, 2026, says Jones announced in January 2025 that she was retiring or taking a break from the series after six seasons spanning 2019 through 2024. The report quotes her explanation that missing the first month of school affected her children’s school year and that she did not want to miss their activities. This is relevant background on her time on the show, not evidence about her appearance or health. TV Insider’s report on Jones’s departure.
