Several cast departures from The Young and the Restless were reported in 2025, but they are not all the same: some actors announced an exit, some characters died or left Genoa City, and some absences may not be permanent. The clearest confirmed final date in the available reporting is Allison Lanier’s: she said her last episode as Summer Newman would air May 2, 2025.
Who was reported to be leaving The Young and the Restless in 2025?
The names reported in 2025 departure roundups were Conner Floyd, Ray Wise, Linden Ashby, Allison Lanier, Colleen Zenk and Jermaine Rivers. What to Watch also reported apparent exits for Vail Bloom and Michael Damian, though those cases were less definitive: Bloom’s return remained possible, while Damian’s character left town to tour.
These reports are secondary entertainment coverage, not a complete departure list issued by CBS. The distinction matters: an actor’s departure, a character’s death, and a character temporarily leaving town are different things.
| Performer | Character | What was reported | How definite is the exit? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Allison Lanier | Summer Newman | Lanier said May 2, 2025 would be her last episode; Summer left for Italy in the story. | Strongest confirmation in the coverage: a first-person final-episode statement. |
| Colleen Zenk | Jordan Howard | Jordan’s final episode was reported as January 24, 2025; the character was killed. | A reported character resolution, not proof that the actor could never return. |
| Ray Wise | Ian Ward | ComingSoon reported an exit in January and said Ian would be killed off. | Reported by a secondary roundup; no official historical exit notice was cited. |
| Linden Ashby | Cameron Kirsten | ComingSoon identified January 27, 2025 as the last episode; coverage described a storyline in which Cameron was killed off. What to Watch characterized the January appearances as a ghost or hallucination story. | A dated storyline resolution, as reported by entertainment outlets. |
| Conner Floyd | Chance Chancellor | ComingSoon reported Floyd would move to Days of Our Lives to take over Billy Flynn’s role. | The cited article did not give a final Y&R airdate. |
| Jermaine Rivers | Damian | What to Watch reported Rivers announced his departure on X; Damian was poisoned and stabbed in the episode airing July 14. | Rivers was quoted as saying “at least for now,” leaving a possible return open. |
| Vail Bloom | Heather Stevens | What to Watch described Bloom as appearing to exit after Heather was presumed killed in September 2024 story events. | Not established as permanent; the same coverage said Bloom was open to returning in some capacity. |
| Michael Damian | Danny Romalotti | What to Watch said Danny left town to go back on tour. | An on-screen absence; the article did not know a return timetable and did not establish a permanent cast departure. |
Departures with a stated final episode
Allison Lanier as Summer Newman
Lanier’s exit had the clearest first-person date. In a post on X dated April 30, 2025, reproduced by What to Watch, she wrote: “Hi guys!! This Friday, May 2nd, will be my last episode on Y&R! I’ve loved the journey and learned so much but it’s time to grow in a different direction… very grateful for all of the Y&R fans who have supported me <3” ComingSoon reported that Summer set off for Italy in that episode. The actor’s announced last episode and the character’s departure to Italy are related, but they are separate facts.

Colleen Zenk as Jordan Howard
ComingSoon and What to Watch reported that Jordan’s final episode aired January 24, 2025, and that the character was killed in the story. Zenk later told TV Insider, as quoted by ComingSoon: “I’m sad Jordan went away so quickly. I thought that Ian and Jordan would go out like Bonnie and Clyde together,” The reported death resolves Jordan’s storyline; it does not establish that Zenk could never appear again.
January storyline exits
Ray Wise as Ian Ward
ComingSoon reported that Wise exited in January and that Ian would be killed off. The available official show pages do not independently document this historical departure, so it is best treated as a reported character exit rather than an official CBS announcement.

- Used Book in Good Condition
Linden Ashby as Cameron Kirsten
ComingSoon gave January 27, 2025 as Ashby’s last episode and described Cameron’s return as a storyline that ended with the character being killed off. What to Watch characterized the January appearances as a ghost or hallucination storyline. That framing helps distinguish Cameron’s appearances from an ongoing return to the cast.
Departures with an open or unclear return status
Jermaine Rivers as Damian
What to Watch said Rivers announced his departure on X and reported that Damian was poisoned and stabbed in the episode airing July 14. The outlet also quoted Rivers saying “at least for now,” so the coverage did not present the exit as necessarily permanent.

Vail Bloom as Heather Stevens
What to Watch described Bloom as apparently exiting after Heather was presumed killed in story events in September 2024. The same report noted Bloom had told TV Insider she was open to returning in some capacity. The evidence supports an apparent exit, not a definitive statement that Bloom would never reprise the role.
Michael Damian as Danny Romalotti
What to Watch reported that Danny left Genoa City to go back on tour and that the publication did not know when he would return. This is a character leaving town, not confirmation that Michael Damian permanently left the series.
Rank #4
Conner Floyd as Chance Chancellor
ComingSoon included Floyd among the reported 2025 departures and said he would move to Days of Our Lives, taking over Billy Flynn’s role. The article did not provide a final Young and the Restless airdate, so the timing of his last episode is not established by that report.

CBS describes The Young and the Restless as a weekday drama set in Genoa City and lists cast information and recent episodes on its official series page. Paramount Press Express identifies the series as airing on CBS and as available live and on demand on Paramount+ on its show page. Those pages establish series and viewing context, but they do not supply a historical, comprehensive 2025 departure roster.

For the specific exits, the reporting comes from ComingSoon’s 2025 departure roundup and What to Watch’s casting arrivals and exits coverage. In particular, the final-date detail for Lanier is an actor statement reproduced by What to Watch; the other departures should be understood according to the wording and limits of those reports.
