Lisa Jeanine Findley, the woman federal prosecutors accused of trying to defraud Elvis Presley’s family and force a sale of Graceland, pleaded guilty to mail fraud in February 2025. In September 2025, she was sentenced to 57 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervision. Graceland was not sold through the alleged scheme.
Who was charged in the Graceland scheme?
The U.S. Department of Justice identified the defendant as Lisa Jeanine Findley. In August 2024, prosecutors announced that she had been arrested and charged with mail fraud and aggravated identity theft. Those were allegations at the time, not findings of guilt; Findley later pleaded guilty to one count of mail fraud. The subsequent sentence was for that conviction, and the original aggravated-identity-theft charge should not be described as a conviction.
Prosecutors described Naussany Investments & Private Lending LLC as a fictitious lender. It was not an established creditor with a proven loan against Graceland.
What did prosecutors say she tried to do?
In its August 16, 2024 announcement, the Justice Department said Findley allegedly claimed that Lisa Marie Presley had borrowed $3.8 million in 2018 and pledged Graceland as collateral. Prosecutors said Findley then sought $2.85 million from the Presley family to settle the purported debt. Those figures describe the loan and demand alleged by prosecutors; they do not establish that Lisa Marie Presley actually borrowed the money or owed it.

According to the same announcement, the alleged scheme included fabricated loan documents and forged signatures, a false creditor’s claim in Los Angeles, and a fake deed of trust filed in Memphis. Prosecutors said a foreclosure notice published in The Commercial Appeal set an auction for May 23, 2024. After the family sued in Tennessee to stop the sale, DOJ said, Findley allegedly made false court filings and later blamed a Nigerian identity thief.
The initial announcement framed these details as allegations in a criminal complaint. Findley’s later guilty plea established her guilt on one count of mail fraud; it does not turn every detail in the initial announcement into a separate conviction.

Was Graceland sold?
No. The planned auction did not go ahead. DOJ said the Presley family sued in state court to stop the sale, and the alleged foreclosure effort was halted. The case concerned an attempted fraudulent sale, not a completed transfer of Graceland.

What happened to Findley?
Findley pleaded guilty to one count of mail fraud on February 25, 2025. On September 24, 2025, the Justice Department announced a sentence of 57 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervision after release. The outcome was therefore a guilty plea and sentence—not merely the arrest and charges reported in 2024.
