NeNe Leakes has the highest reported figure in the sources reviewed here: $2.85 million per season by Season 12 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. That is a media-reported estimate, not an official Bravo disclosure. Kandi Burruss also appears near the top, with two separate reports putting her seasonal pay at nearly $2 million and $2.3 million.
Bravo has not published a complete salary table, and the available figures come from different seasons, secondary reports and book-based accounts. This is therefore a ranking of prominent reported amounts—not a verified, same-year comparison of every Housewife’s pay.

Highest reported Real Housewives salaries
The list ranks the largest distinct reported per-season figures in the cited coverage. Amounts are not adjusted for inflation, and different sources may describe different seasons or contract terms. Where the evidence does not establish a precise season, that limitation is stated rather than inferred.
| Rank | Housewife and franchise | Reported Bravo pay | What the report establishes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | NeNe Leakes, The Real Housewives of Atlanta | $2.85 million per season | Cosmopolitan reported in 2024, citing RadarOnline, that Leakes earned this by RHOA Season 12. It is not a Bravo-confirmed figure. Cosmopolitan |
| 2 | Kandi Burruss, The Real Housewives of Atlanta | $2.3 million per season | A separate figure listed by Cosmopolitan in 2024, attributed there to Collider. The cited coverage does not establish that it refers to the same season or contract as the nearly $2 million estimate below. Cosmopolitan |
| 3 | Kandi Burruss, The Real Housewives of Atlanta | Nearly $2 million per season | Us Weekly summarized Brian Moylan’s 2021 book as reporting this amount. It is a book-based estimate, not an official Bravo disclosure. Us Weekly |
| 4 | Vicki Gunvalson, The Real Housewives of Orange County | $750,000 per season | Cosmopolitan’s 2024 roundup attributed the estimate to RadarOnline; a specific season is not stated in the cited summary. Cosmopolitan |
| 5 | Lisa Vanderpump, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills | $500,000 per season | Listed by Cosmopolitan in 2024 as a reported salary; the underlying attribution and specific season are not stated in the cited summary. Cosmopolitan |
| 6 | Heather Dubrow, The Real Housewives of Orange County | $300,000 per season | Cosmopolitan’s 2024 roundup attributed the estimate to Collider; a specific season is not stated in the cited summary. Cosmopolitan |
The two Kandi Burruss figures are separate reports, not a confirmed pay rise or a settled salary. The sources do not supply the season-by-season contract records needed to reconcile them. Likewise, the order above compares published estimates, not verified earnings on a common contract basis.

What first-season and returning cast members may earn
Brian Moylan’s The Housewives: The Real Story Behind the Real Housewives gives an approximate progression: about $60,000 for a first season, $120,000 for a second, around $300,000 for a third, and possibly $300,000 to $500,000 thereafter. Reality Blurred summarized those figures in 2026 and cautioned that the book was published in 2022, so they may no longer reflect current deals. They are general reported context, not a universal Bravo pay scale. Reality Blurred
Individual accounts offer examples of how varied the numbers can be. Bethenny Frankel said she earned $7,250 for her first season of The Real Housewives of New York City in 2008, according to Cosmopolitan’s 2024 report. Teddi Mellencamp, discussing pay in 2025, said first-season Housewives are paid the same and that longer tenure brings more pay. Those are personal accounts, not a published schedule covering every franchise or year. Cosmopolitan Us Weekly

Why Housewives salaries differ—and why estimates conflict
Cast pay is negotiated individually, and tenure, existing fame and a cast member’s leverage can all matter. Some reported deals may pay by episode, guarantee a set number of episodes, or cover an entire season. A per-season estimate is not necessarily comparable with a contract based on episodes unless the episode count and terms are known.
Former cast members have described that negotiating dynamic directly. Bethenny Frankel said contracts can include percentage increases, while a cast member may negotiate using the leverage of choosing not to return. Andy Cohen, quoted by Us Weekly, said, “We never really talk about contracts and money.” These comments help explain why there is no public, standardized salary ladder; they do not verify any particular figure in the ranking. - Different evidence: a cast member’s own account, a book’s reporting, a court filing and an unattributed secondary estimate do not carry the same level of verification.
- Different time frames: a figure attached to one season cannot be assumed to describe a later contract.
- Different measures: Bravo salary is not the same as a Housewife’s net worth, business revenue, endorsements or other television income.
How to read the ranking
Use these figures as reported snapshots, not as a definitive answer to what every Housewife currently earns. The evidence cited here does not establish a complete ranking across franchises for one season, nor does it independently verify every reported amount. The strongest comparison possible is to keep the franchise, season or publication context, contract basis and source attached to each number—as in the table above.
For broader franchise background, Moylan’s The Housewives: The Real Story Behind the Real Housewives is the book behind some of the salary context summarized in this coverage. Reality Blurred
