G Flip is an Australian singer, songwriter, producer and drummer whose career took off after their first song reached Australian radio in 2018. They are also married to U.S. reality-TV personality Chrishell Stause: the couple held a private Las Vegas ceremony by the end of 2022 and announced the marriage publicly in 2023.
Who is G Flip?
G Flip is the stage name of an Australian musician whose work brings together singing, songwriting, music production and drumming. Drums are central to both their sound and their live presence; their performances have also featured saxophone. G Flip has described themself as queer and non-binary and uses they/them pronouns.
In a 2025 interview, G Flip discussed the importance of queer and non-binary visibility and said: “Anything you’re feeling in your head, whether it’s about your gender identity or sexuality, those feelings are valid and real.” Rolling Stone Australia’s interview also covers their music and live show.
How did G Flip build a music career?
From drumming videos to original songs
Before their solo career, G Flip played drums in a wedding band and worked on bedroom demos. They taught themself production after unsuccessful attempts to get producers to work with them. As they told ABC News, “I made the decision, ‘Well, that’s not going to stop me, I’m going to learn how to produce myself’.”

According to The Guardian’s 2023 profile, it played on the national radio station the same day, and a record deal followed within the week. Albums and evolving sound
The debut album, About Us, followed the 2018 breakthrough. The Guardian described it as having three platinum-selling singles, without naming a certifying body or individual certification dates. In 2025, Dream Ride was identified as G Flip’s third album and released via Awal Recordings. Rolling Stone Australia describes a collection built from co-written and co-produced songs with Aidan Hogg, with a range of tempos and moods. One song, “Let’s Take This Show on the Road,” was described as a love song about choosing a partner and going the distance. The album’s live presentation draws on G Flip’s vocals and drumming, as well as saxophone.

G Flip said it was their most-streamed song in the United States at that time, a comparison that may change as listening figures shift. They also described the song as drawing on growing up Catholic and feeling attraction they had been taught to reject. Bustle’s interview covers the song and its renewed attention.
A December 2025 Mamamia podcast listing describes an interview with G Flip about their marriage, public attention and trying to start a family through IVF. The listing establishes those topics as part of the conversation, but it does not provide a basis for claims about medical outcomes or private family decisions.
