Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why the concert was described as a return
The Los Angeles Times called M3 Roth’s first public concert in more than five years, while Blabbermouth characterized it as his first full solo concert in that span. That wording leaves room for a distinction: the Times noted that Rolling Stone had reported a private Home Depot corporate performance in 2023. M3 was therefore a return to a full solo/public concert, not necessarily his first appearance of any kind during the interval.
Rank #2
Rolling Stone named guitarist Al Estrada and four backing singers among the performers. Roth had left Van Halen to pursue a solo career after the success of the band’s 1984 album 1984, a natural starting point for listeners exploring the catalog behind the M3 set.
