Mickey Guyton and Grant Savoy were reportedly introduced around 2010, announced their engagement in 2013 and married in June 2017. They welcomed their son, Grayson, in February 2021. Guyton has shared a few milestones and reflections on their relationship, while making clear that much of their life together is private.
How Mickey Guyton and Grant Savoy met
Parade reports that Guyton and Savoy were introduced by Guyton’s best friend, who is Savoy’s stepsister. The introduction is generally placed around 2010: in 2024, Guyton told Entertainment Tonight they had been together for more than 14 years. Neither account establishes the exact date they began dating, so 2010 is an approximate starting point, not a confirmed anniversary.

Engagement and wedding
2013: Reported engagement announcement
Parade reports that the couple announced their engagement in 2013. The available reporting does not establish the proposal date or describe how it happened.
June 2017: Marriage
Good Morning America reported that Guyton and Savoy had been married since June 2017. Parade gives the wedding date as June 26, 2017, and reports that they married on a beach in Kauai with 23 family members and friends present, followed by a luau reception. The exact date and ceremony details come from Parade; GMA corroborates the month and year.

August 2020: Pregnancy announcement
According to Good Morning America’s report on their son’s birth, Guyton announced in August 2020 that she was expecting. Later that year, she revealed she was having a boy.
February 2021: Son Grayson
Good Morning America published the birth announcement on February 8, 2021, reporting that the couple had welcomed their first child, Grayson. Oxford American also identifies February 2021 as the month Guyton became a mother. In the announcement reproduced by GMA, Guyton called the experience “The hardest and most beautiful thing I have ever done” and welcomed Grayson to the world.

What Guyton has shared about challenges and commitment
Parade reports that Guyton and Savoy attended marriage counseling in 2018. In a later interview on Guyton’s official artist page, she connected the song “Little Man” to a period when the couple were fighting for their marriage. She said they had done the work and found a renewed sense of love: “We fought for our love and because of that, we’re in such a beautiful space.”
Guyton has also said that she deliberately keeps much of the relationship private, describing it as “the one sacred thing that I have and it’s nobody’s business.” Her account offers a glimpse of both difficulty and renewed commitment, but does not make her songs a literal record of the couple’s private life. The official interview notes that her album House on Fire is not strictly autobiographical.
