A November 3, 2025 Collider report syndicated on IMDb said filming had wrapped, citing social-media posts shared by crew members. The posts themselves are not included in the listing, and the update was not directly confirmed in the cited material by Amazon. The wrap should therefore be understood as a reported production update, rather than an official Amazon announcement.
When will Season 3 arrive on Prime Video?
Amazon’s Season 3 guide, updated July 24, 2026, schedules the premiere in three batches:

What Season 3 is about
Amazon’s synopsis places the story five years after the fall of Eregion. Sauron’s armies have advanced across Middle-earth as he works in Barad-dûr to forge the One Ring. Dwarves in Khazad-dûm and Elves in Lindon and Rivendell stand among the remaining obstacles to his rule, while the free peoples face the challenge of uniting against him.

How the series fits into Middle-earth
The Rings of Power adapts material from Tolkien’s Second Age, thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Its premise and timeline draw on that earlier era of Middle-earth; the series should not be assumed to follow the books scene for scene.
