About this dated puzzle
The March 23 edition had five Across and five Down clues, according to the three dated reports. Forbes describes the Mini as a quick version of the larger New York Times crossword; it says the usual grid is 5 by 5, with three to five clues in each direction on most days and some larger puzzles, especially on Saturdays. Forbes’s March 2026 account also said play and access to archived puzzles required an NYT Games subscription at that time; current subscription terms are not established here. Parade’s March 2026 article reported a 10 p.m. daily reset, but that dated report should not be treated as confirmation of a current universal schedule.
