What did the couple wear, and what family keepsakes did Ryan carry?
Ryan’s gown was custom-created with Naama & Anat and Haute Bridal after she had not found a dress that felt right at bridal shops. HARDY wore a suit from STITCHED in Las Vegas. Ryan incorporated several personal objects into the traditional “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” custom: HARDY’s baby bonnet was her “something old,” her dress her “something new,” her grandmother’s lucky penny her “something borrowed,” and her late great-aunt Rosie’s aquamarine ring her “something blue.” People’s wedding report via Yahoo
How did the ceremony reflect their relationship?
The couple had a first look, then exchanged private vows they had written themselves before a brief ceremony. Their friend and songwriter Smith Ahnquist officiated. They began dating on April 19, 2018, after HARDY contacted Ryan on Instagram. They met in person at The Lyric in Oxford, Mississippi, near Ole Miss; HARDY later proposed there in August 2021. Ryan said she had wanted to finish school and begin a career before marrying. People’s wedding report via Yahoo

A DJ and Mississippi-based Mustache the Band, known for 1990s country covers, played at the reception. The couple’s first dance was to Journey’s “Faithfully”; HARDY told People, “It’s very appropriate.” Dinner included passed appetizers, a Southern entree for HARDY’s family and an Italian entree for Ryan’s family. Caramel cake honored HARDY’s grandmother, while churros, hot chicken sandwiches and tater-tot nachos were among the other reported treats.
