Paola Mayfield, known at the start of her wrestling career as Paola Blaze, moved from reality television and fitness work into the ring in 2021. She announced a Miami debut, later described training with Low Ki, and was reported as appearing on NWA programming. WOW’s current official profile lists her as Paola Mayfield and describes her journey there under the mentorship of former WOW World Champion Abilene Maverick.
From reality TV and fitness work to wrestling
Mayfield became widely known through 90 Day Fiancé and its spin-off. In her April 2021 wrestling announcement, she also described earlier work in Colombia as a shoe designer, as well as modeling, acting, personal training, nutrition coaching and Zumba instruction. That is her own account of her background, rather than an independently verified career résumé.
She said she had been preparing for wrestling “since last year, very hard and quietly,” placing the start of her training at approximately 2020 by her own retrospective description. In the announcement, she explained her enthusiasm simply: “I love it, it makes me feel alive and powerful!” Fightful reported her announcement on April 10, 2021.
When did Paola Blaze debut?
In April 2021, Mayfield announced that her first live match would take place on May 1 at the Holiday Inn Miami West – Airport Area in Miami, Florida. She planned to wrestle as Paola Blaze. The report reproduces her announcement; it does not independently confirm that the match took place or document its result, so the date is best understood as her announced debut date.

Who trained Paola Mayfield?
By the time of a November 2021 interview, Mayfield identified Low Ki as her coach: “Low Ki is my coach now.” She described intense training that incorporated wrestling and elements of MMA. She also emphasized how physically demanding wrestling was compared with her reality-TV work: “The difference is (wrestling) requires a lot of strength and being in good physical shape.” Those remarks describe her training and perspective at that time, not necessarily her current coaching arrangements. Fightful published the interview on November 15, 2021.
She also spoke about adapting to wrestling as a performance captured by cameras while maintaining a fiery character. That transition meant combining athletic preparation with the demands of performing for an audience and on-camera viewers.

Her early NWA appearances
Fightful reported in November 2021 that Mayfield appeared at NWA EmPowerrr alongside Gail Kim and Awesome Kong, and was regularly featured on NWA Powerrr by then. These are documented milestones in her early wrestling work; they do not establish a complete appearance or match record.
Later interview listings show that wrestling remained a subject of discussion. A September 2021 We Luv Wrestling episode listing names topics including her ring name, gear, debut, an ARW Women’s Championship, and NWA EmPowerrr. A July 2022 A2theK Wrestling Show listing describes an interview covering her NWA EmPowerrr work, wrestling collaborators and ambitions. The listings establish those topics, not match results or championship status.

Is Paola Mayfield still wrestling?
WOW’s official talent page currently profiles her under the name Paola Mayfield. It describes her WOW journey as beginning under the mentorship of former WOW World Champion Abilene Maverick and uses the promotional nickname “The Colombian GOAT.” The page also says she won the reality show The GOAT; its character descriptions and praise are WOW’s promotional framing, not an independent assessment. See WOW’s official Paola Mayfield profile.
The profile confirms a WOW connection, but it does not settle her present booking schedule or contract status. The sources cited here do not provide a comprehensive match count, win-loss record, full championship history or evidence of an exclusive contract. Her documented story is therefore clearest as a series of milestones: a Paola Blaze debut announcement in 2021, reported NWA appearances that year, and a current WOW talent profile under her own name.
